How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Room - almost good enough, but decoration pillows bit dusty (however i didnt mind much as i didnt use them, I put them away) . Comfort - Furthermore, during rainy evening, there is a metal plate in the mini balcony and it was loudly noisy, could hear strongly water dropping ( but i can sleep even with a loud noise besides, so could isolate the noise). However another persons might not be able to sleep tight. :). Also the room was a bit too warm even though the thermostat "looked to be working"
Breakfast was good, variation and good taste :D . Staff - very friendly and helpful, presentable and very welcoming. Facilities - nice to have parking, breakfast and nice decoration very free minding.

The only negative is the room we were originally booked in for reeked of smoke, but we were signed a new room straight away and of course they apologized.
The breakfast buffet was great, a lot to choose from, excellent!

We were disappointed that everywhere they advertised a welcome gift for dogs but ours didn’t get anything. Also one night they had a dog bed and another night they didn’t. It was a bit strange. Also the shower was very old with a shower curtain that kept sticking to you. Haven’t seen a shower curtain in a hotel in years…!
The hotel was perfectly located and clean. The hostess Emma was friendly and kind. It was welcoming for pets.

Just personal preference, the bed mattress was too soft.
Perfect location, just across from train station and a very short walk to the town centre. Very good selection at breakfast. Staff very welcoming!

Conditioner bottle was empty, shower curtains were awkward (had a tendency to blow into the shower space whilst washing and halve the available space). Hairdryer was extremely dusty.
Receptionists were friendly and helpful. Room was good. Breakfast buffet was fairly good. Good view.

The noise from people walking, it was too audible when we tried to sleep. Also, the cheap hotdog ketchup at the breakfast, that does not work with scrambled eggs.

Only Danish channels are tune on TV.
Location is too good it is just across the Kolding station. Breakfast was also good. Room was also very clean.

The warm parts of the breakfast were cold and the filter coffee was very bad. Also, there were no cups and coffee had to be drunk out of glasses.

Location is excellent, friendly staff, nicely designed, airy, comfortable beds and rooms overall a very good feel to it and the breakfast has all you could desire :-)

Breakfast had to be booked in advance using an APP. For me this was inconvenient, because I do not use APPs, I have and love a "dumb" phone. I expect staff to be able to book breakfast when I get there. And they did, thankfully...

Other hotels in Kolding have bikes for hire, this could be a good addition to the facilities.

Two points of criticism: We spent two nights in this hotel. One night in a 'fancy' room, which would have a double bed. This turned out not to be the case, so two single beds and cost € 133. The next night I took a standard room for € 95. After intensive research, I could not find any difference... And the first night, we parked right in front of the hotel and asked if that was okay. 'Fine, no problem!' The second night we heard that you risk a fine of € 130! Too bad about these two 'misses' because this is highly recommended, an excellent choice if you are in the area!
An excellent hotel, highly recommended. Clean, good beds, friendly and helpful staff.
