Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaThe bathroom light having a sensor and timer is ridiculous. Fighting with the shower curtain to wave your arms at the sensor to turn on the light while you're in the shower - not fun.
Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was good. Lots of parking with electric charging stations. Walking distance to explore the town and waterfront. Close to train line but didn't notice any noise.

SwedenThis hotel offered a nice hotel room to a very low price and served a very good 3 course dinner to a very low price as well. If you are passing by Middelsfart I can really recommend this hotel.

SingaporeOnly a small issue was the toilet light kept auto switched off when you visit the toilet a little bit longer. lol Overall not much negative things to talk about staying here.
We only stayed for one night and had a buffet breakfast before we left for our day activity. Breakfast was good enough for us and i don't mind if i have the same breakfast spread for another one or two more days. :) The staffs at the reception area were very friendly especially the lady staff and we had a very good chat.

SwedenI would definitely go back so nothing outstanding in the bad side. One thing might be the sound from the train tracks just behind. But there are few trains so it bothered none of us And I would have personally lived a refill of the breakfast buffet. My favorite items disappeared quite fast and I would have loved a second piece
Very nice property. We were in transit with our children. The beds were super comfortable and the room cosy. Not extra luxurious but everything you need for a good night sleep. There were many board games available throughout the different lounge area

United KingdomNo complaints.
I had a small, single room in this large hotel just a short walk from the railway station and town centre. Clean and comfortable with good wifi. Good breakfast included, and I was surprised to find afternoon tea/coffee and cake was also included. Large supermarket nearby.

NetherlandsWhen we made the booking we received “warnings” about how busy the restaurant was and that we had to make reservations. When we arrived, the restaurant was closed (on Sunday?!). Friendliness of staff varies a lot. When we arrived we felt very welcome, the next day available staff seemed to ignore us.
The location is very nice. We arrived on Sunday and were very warm welcomed. There is free coffee and tea available and an ice-cream machine! Until someone broke it. Free cakes in the afternoon. Received good tips about the activities in the area and restaurants.

GermanyThe room was little too dark for my taste.
It is a nice hotel, with a nice restaurant (tasty food for dinner and nice breakfast), spacious room, not far from the village center. Personnel super nice and friendly. It was perfect for a stop while driving from Hamburg to Copenhagen. They offer free ice cream for the kids. Easy and free parking.

SwedenThe room didn't have a window you could vent. It led onto a very nice balcony but meant we had the only ventilation closed. Also the bathroom light was on a very short timer, so turned off regularly during the shower. These are very minimal complaints, the hotel is excellent
Very good location, with a hotel packed with things. Very very helpful staff and a good breakfast. We also had a free cake buffet as well. Plenty of board games and a pool table. There is a hidden path too and from the train station as well

SwedenShower curtains are seldom a good solution for keeping the water in. Although very comfy the room was on the smaller side.
Large, old building converted into hotel rather recently. Classic style. Peaceful and comfortable with lounge areas, a bar and a winter garden where breakfast was served. Lots of parking spaces in the yard. Walking distance to the harbour.

IsraelThe bathroom is very small and strange - the shower is located too close to the toilet. Another issue is the sensor in the bathroom that turns off the light every few minutes if you don't raise your hand while showering. And about the socket near the bed - yes, there is one, but it is used for a lamp and cannot be used for a phone charger.
We liked our big room, comfy bed, nice breakfast, and big free parking
