There's a public carpark next door, so inevitably some noise in the mornings.

Clean and modern hotel very near the centre of town, bars and restaurants. Secure off street parking. Friendly, helpful staff.

There was no a.c or heating system in the room. The doors are not sound proof so you could hear all the noise from other guests and activity going on outside the room.

Staff were super friendly and helpful. They offered advice and suggestions and helped us book taxis. The garden was lovely. Hotel very clean. Breakfast was ways great, they made such yummy pancakes, eggs and fresh juice every morning.

The resident dogs can be quite aggressive, so make sure their owners hold them when you walk past them in the lobby.

Fantastic location, close to the markets ,restaurants, and bars. The breakfast was delicious, and it was generally very quiet. Dog friendly!

We had a perfect time in Otavalo and espacially in the Hotel El geranio. Jannet and her Family were very friendly and helpful planing Tours from Otavalo. I can highly recommend staying there to have a wonderful time in a Family Like surrounding! We felt Like Home, thanks so much again for everything!

Amazing location Plaza de Ponchos is 8 mins walk, very safe area to walk around. Loved the outside seating, Lovely breakfast, great choices, and the bread was addictive it was beyond delicious. The Staff so friendly and helpful and the bonus is having water and ability to have tea and coffee, outside breakfast, lastly we loved all the inhouse dogs it was like being in a home

Nice place not far from the market. For the bus station you need to walk a bit. It is all newly made and the flair with flowers inside is nice.

Large, clean room with very comfortable bed and warm shower with good water pressure. Delicious breakfast and complimentary purified water to refill our bottles. Good location on a quiet street just a few blocks from the Saturday Market. Would stay here again.

initially I had a second floor room facing a dilapidated parking lot so I upgraded to a room that overlooked the green space which was lovely.

Aesthestically it is warm and pretty with flowers,wood and brick.Thrre is a huge space in the back with grass,citrus trees and an avocado tree which attracted birds.The staff which is a family were the kindest hosts.I also appreciated they offered filtered drinking water to avoid the purchase of plastic bottles.

We loved our stay at Hotel el Geranio and we hated to leave! The staff were sincerely kind and helpful and the property is beautiful, especially the gardens and views of the city/mountains. There were chairs outside of our room to relax and soak in the mountain air and scenary. The room we stayed in was spacious and the bathroom was large and clean - zero complaints! Each morning we looked forward to breakfast in the breakfast room - eggs, fresh juices, coffee, tea, fruit, rolls...a dream! Fortunately we stayed at the property over the weekend when the Otavalo market was at its finest - wow, it did not disappoint! The property is within easy walking distance to everything essential in the city and catching a taxi is as easy as walking out the front gate and flagging one down. This hotel is a must if you're in Otavalo! Thank you, Hotel el Geranio!
