Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

RussiaSimply love Malikia! It’s my second time in less than a year! I travel a lot (from Brazil to Mexico, Arctic to South Africa and Mauritius, Europe to South-Eastern Asia) and it NEVER happened to me before to choose the same resort for the beach leisure 🙈 But being a freediver I find it perfectly balanced - the home reef, ability to find Dugong with a high quality Diving.DE centre, good food and well located rooms. Hi to the whole Malikia Resort team and especially general manager Nagy and hospitality manager Sheriff 🙏 It’s actually has been kind of Freediving Mecca for Russian freedivers, we stay here on our way to and from Satahya reef.

SlovakiaLot of tourist, crowded
We stayed here for two days. The beach is great for snorkeling, we even saw turtles. Beautiful corals and underwater life. The place where the food was served was noisy, full of tourists and very hectic, people running for food. Also, at eight in the morning, the beds by the beach are occupied by towels and there are no people anywhere. The staff was nice. Rooms with older furniture, but ok. If I were to come back here, it would be because of the beach

Belgiumthe main reason for us to not give a high score is the food. this is written from a European 5 star baseline offcourse. But if I compare to South Asia, Cape Verde, the Caribbean I would still state it should be able to improve on this. All juices are very watery (ratio water vs juice sirop is too high). This ruins all and any included cocktail you would take. We moved to water or soft drinks after the first round of alcohol. Breakfast I would label ok, you have a high amount of options - but the fact you have to pay for a fresh juice - but not for orange fruit itself we didn’t like. It feels like an unlogical upsell to charge for the healthy alternative to sirops. lunch - I think it’s ok if you have kids considering it’s all fast food a like. however I would have preferred a broader set of healthy options (they did offer a chicken wrap, fruit and some vegetables). I would recommend to raise the amount of tomatoes in the penne with tomato saus (again ratio water vs ingredient). on staff I have not a single negative comment dinner - we tried everything, but in general I would recommmend to avoid to bake all meats dry . some dishes I did like : the goelash (meat was juicy), steamed vegetables, the moussaka, rice. in general I miss variance in the dishes over the days - it’s a different theme, but I would state a lot of the dishes keep the same base. I think the quality suffers from the speed / bulk which can be solved with a bit more care not overcook things. Desserts I’m mixed - the limitation to pastery I find disappointing, because most of it is dry. I did taste a chocomouse cake and the mousse was good - so I would recommend to provide mousses, pudding, icecream options. I do have to add they have fruit as an option (but I lack variance with watermelon , a local mango etc) i did appreciate anything with coconut.
staff is very friendly in all places of the hotel. special thanks to Hassan cleaning our room, the guys at the Mamut ice cream, the people of the Spa. the location is excellent (we came for diving) and so are the facilities for kids (we don’t have them - but I can see the attractiveness due the the swimming pool, gliders, etc). I read the hotel is a bit older - this is true but it doesn’t hurt the quality of the stay, considering the price range you’re in.

ArmeniaVery disappointed with my stay at this hotel. Firstly, the manager gave us a choice of two rooms, neither of which was what I had booked - a sea view room. Instead we got a room overlooking the construction site at the pool. Secondly, the food was very unpalatable. Plenty of choice, but absolutely all the dishes were prepared as if the aim was to spoil the flavor. We went for one dinner at la Luna restaurant, the main difference being the location on the street. Otherwise, the service and food were identical. We didn't understand why it was necessary to book in advance at all, especially considering that the main restaurant is also located outside. Also the bartender was misogynistic and treated me very rudely, I didn't get my tea after 15 minutes and left.... Third, If you go for snorkeling, I recommend choosing a neighboring hotel as otherwise you have to walk across the beach to the reef. We never managed to dive from the jetty at this hotel, as both days there were strong waves and a red flag hanging in that part of the beach.

EgyptThe food was just on the border of acceptance, it is not the quality you desire at a hotel. Service was just on the border as well. They don't put tissues, soap, shower gel, unless you ask them to do. If you didn't ask, they will not take the step.
The beach was nice, the staff were kind. It's nice to have sandy beach just next to the corals

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Malikia hotel, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by friendly staff who made me feel right at home. The highlight of my stay was definitely the beach. It was absolutely stunning! The crystal-clear waters and abundance of coral reefs made it a paradise for snorkeling enthusiasts like myself. I spent hours exploring the vibrant underwater world, mesmerized by the colorful marine life. The experience was truly unforgettable. If you're looking for a hotel with an amazing beach and incredible snorkeling opportunities, look no further than Malikia hotel. It's an absolute gem!

AustriaThe resort itself would be nice, but the staff is horrible. Except for the managers, everyone was bored. We had an unfriendly welcome at the reception. The animation team never came to us, but it would be important, since there are not many entertainment options. It was only then our room is nicely cleaned if we left 1-2 euros there. The food was boring

EgyptMalikia Resort Abu Dabbab was an amazing stay, we really enjoyed the resort. It was very clean, had COVID-10 safety protocols in place for indoor dining and the beach area is BEAUTIFUL. On site snorkelling was incredible with the corals easily accessible. Secondly, the service, everyone we encountered was incredibly welcoming and attentive! Any issue we had was instantly resolved with a smile on their faces and was always asking if we are enjoying our stay to enhance our experience. We had nice big room with spacious balcony and amazing sea view. Food is tasty and varied. Great service in all restaurants and bars. Daily morning and evening entertainment activities by very nice animation team. We're thankful and appreciate everything! Great service. In the middle of resort is big clean pool with nice Aqua Park for children and pool bar. Highly recommended.

RomaniaEspecially the staff and the lack of any desire to provide service. My son and I were refused service of a glass of water from the bar at 11:03 - closed at 11! Are you kidding me? I had to hide to keep from being solicited, and actually was solicited in the hotel lobby! The food was especially terrible, much worse than hospital food at a veterans hospital!
Nothing! We are full time travelers, and in all our travels, this was the worst by far! The "all-inclusive " was an insult. The cheapest same food every day and in both restaurants. Pool , gym, spa closed until 10 am and closed again at 5, gym until 7. But you cannot train or relax, because hotel employees constantly harass you for upsell services. Ironically, a waiter to bring you a drink at the pool or beach doesn't exist, but droves and teams of sales people from hair salon, spa, dive trips, anything you can imagine are perpetually asking you to purchase more. I felt like a piece of meat walking through a cage of hundreds of wolves. There was actually sewage leaking out of manhole covers and toilet paper on the path ! I have pictures of this! I want a refund!
