How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The main restaurant was closed this was not advertised and a number of guests were dissatisfied with this. The food was basic bar food.

The bar was too small and limited in drinks available. The bar staff was not very receptive. Drinks very expensive considering how cheep they are locally. The restaurant did not look very interesting. We did not try breakfast as that also was far too expensive considering how cheep it is locally. There was no view from ground floor room.
The receptionist was very helpful and found us a quiet room,the room was clean and a good size. The bed was comfortable. The hotel was in a good position to see the sights of Burgos.

Not informed enough about use of facilities. I was in a delux and other guests were walking around in robes from the swimming pool. No robes in my room. Bit expensive.
Convenient treat for the Camino. Modern and clean.

A coffee machine in the room might have been a good addition but it is a very minor minus
Lovely room opening onto a small private garden in a great location. Friendly helpful staff. Great location just a few moments walk from the cathedral. On site parking (modest fee)

Listed as dog friendly but it is absolutely not!! Just wish they would let us sit to have a drink in the bar with our dog, we couldn’t even have breakfast or any food there!!!

The hotel is in an excellent position with a lovely walk into the old town. Our room was very comfortable and the staff were helpful. Breakfast buffet was good. Would definitely stay again.

Still don't see the point of having a good restaurant on site which doesn't do evening meals!!!!
Good sized hotel with facilities. Good breakfast assortment. Secure Parking. A short stroll from the centre even for those with disability issues like my wife.

The sauna is very small and inside the toilet, not very apetizing. The pool is smaller than I expected. The hotel is very huge, I didnt expect that either.
Location is good, walking distance to the main square. The breakfast is delicious with lots of variety, the room and bathroom are spacious and clean.

I understand the pets policy of the hotel (and I can even comprehend the idealism behind it) but an extra charge of 30 euro per night per pet isn’t in alignment with today’s worldly reality. It took quiet some time to bring the room on temperature leading to suspect that the heating system isn’t powerful enough on winter days.
The staff, in particular Felix - Mari Luz - Mari Carmen, is extremely helpful and very friendly. They give an extra positive vibe to your stay. And they are there with a genuine smile … These kind of people make all the difference in your stay! The parking garage of the hotel is a very welcome bonus. Burgos in holiday season can be a challenge when it comes to parking spaces. The gym, spa and swimming pool are nice features that complete the list perfectly.

They don’t start serving dinner until 8pm. Be much better if they started at 7pm as often people have traveled long way, are tired and want early meal and go to bed
Love the actual building and where it is situated for easy access into town.

It was New Years Eve/New Years Day - no restaurant or bar or room service available - we felt we should have been forewarned about this - (spa, sauna & swimming pool & gym were functional but we were not interested in those facilities).

I did not enjoy the spa, the sauna is really small and the pool was not warm and not as nice as I imgined it when seeing the pictures. I also did not like the size of the hotel, from the pictures, I could not imagine how big it is, which makes it less cozy.
I liked the breakfast and the room. The room was clean and spacious. The breakfast had a great variety. The location of the hotel is also very good.
