We did not have breakfast, because we left early for Plitvice. The guesthouse was gorgeous, and our rooms each had a terrace with a spectacular view over the valley below. It was the perfect spot to share a bottle of wine and some truffle tapenade from a local winery. You do have to leave your car outside the walls, but the owner met us at the parking lot with her car to help with luggage. We enjoyed walking the walls of Motovun and exploring the hill town of Groznjan on the way there. We had a great dinner at Konobo Mondo.

Motovun should be called the town of barking dogs! We were woken several times at night and in the early morning by barking dogs. Certainly there's nothing our host can do about that.

Breakfast was delicious, the room was comfortable , the views spectacular and the staff was super friendly. We will stay there again when we come back.

A considerable amount of shield bugs was the only slight negative - but it was just the season and they were generally harmless.

It was a phenomenal stay and Lorena was a marvelous host. Everything was awesome from the welcoming drink and homemade breakfast to the room facilities and view. The balcony view of our room was extraordinary any time of the day in any weather, and I wouldn't trade it for anything. The transportation by Lorena and her husband to and from the parking place right outside the town was very considerate and necessary - it was impossible for most non-natives to handle the town paths. The truffle-hunting experience followed by a white truffle lunch in the house's garden was sensational. I will surely come back again the next time I visit Motovun.

It was a little tricky finding parking and the parking was located away from the hotel, since the home was in the old part of the city with restricted driving.

Very cool location near the square that overlooked the village below. The owners were very nice and helpful in transporting our luggage to and from their B&B. The breakfast was wonderful. The hike up to the square was steep but really cool.

The host was amazing. The unit with the terrace has fantastic views. It was so helpful to have a ride to the Guesthouse from parking which is a good mile away uphill cobblestone. Delicious breakfast delivered to your door.

Lorena is an outstanding host. Her breakfasts were both delicious and bountiful. Great coffee too! Wake up to watch clouds drifting below and views of the town and vineyards. The room is very comfortable with a spacious bathroom and everything is immaculately presented. No dragging luggage as you’re picked up from your parking space and delivered to the front door. And returned on departure. An added and unexpected bonus was the welcome tractor towing service for anyone leaving their car’s handbrake inadvertently disengaged. But that’s a whole different story …

The location of was amazing as it was the view. Loretta cooked us a hearty and tasty breakfast. She was lovely and eager to accommodate whatever is needed. I’m only sorry we did not stay another night.

Very friendly couple. Great to have parking available, and help getting the luggage to the guesthouse. Lorena made us very welcome and we had an excellent bed and breakfast. Motovun was an amazing location too.

The view from the balcony is amazing! It is nice to stay in the beautiful historic centre and walk around in the morning before most of the other tourists come to town. The hotel owners are very friendly. They came to pick us up from the parking, which is very helpful when you have big luggage because the road is steep and bumpy. You can order breakfast at additional costs, which is excellent (incl. fresh tomatoes from their own garden and their home produced olive oil).
