How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Lighting in the room is either too bright or too dark. A bed side lamp would be good for reading in bed.
Very good buffet breakfast and perfect location near public transport for city centre and airport. Various shops nearby. Nice and friendly staff

The bathroom "door" which blocked absolutely nothing. It's made of glass and there's no way to fully close or lock it, so if you're shy, it's probably not the room for you. You can hear everything. I was very glad I was with family and not my partner. It wasn't very romantic
The staff was very pleasant and helpful! The room was very spacious, which was great for 3 people. The beds were also quite cozy!

Although hotel provides warm breakfast (omlet and bacon) it should include more variety and fresh vegetables.
Obviously the hotel is new. Room was great and well maintained, beds were comfortable, pillows also great. Cleaning was spotless and even hotel provides amenities like shaving kit, toothbrush... which is not common for 3* hotels. Location is also good, 5 minutes walk to the nearest metro station where is possible to catch metro to the city center, with one change of the metro line. Also near hotel stops bus wich drives direct to city centre.

Location was perfect between City Center (4 mins walk to Metro) and Airport (20 mins Uber) for our day & last night in Spain. Comfortable beds, modern. very clean, quiet and spacious.

The room was quite small, but for a one night’s stay it was fine.
Staff were very friendly. Complimentary breakfast was way better than any American buffet I have had. I’m not sure why anyone would complain about the selection and quality of the offerings.

Spotlessly clean hotel, comfortable beds, plenty of choice at breakfast, friendly helpful staff. Very close to bus and metro to get you into the centre. Great value for money, would definitely stay again.

It's a little distance from the hotel to the city. Everything else was great.
The rooms were modern and clean and they supply a selection of toiletries that would be suitable in a 4 star hotel. They have a 24 hour concierge and it feels more like a more expensive hotel. The location was very close to the metro but it is a little distance from the city centre. However, you can find everything you need in the area. Try the patisserie opposite the hotel..

I cannot Think of anything.
I chose UVE Marcenado because of its proximity to the Auditorio Nacional de Musica and I was not mistaken. Sala Sinfónica is within 10 min walking distance, Sala de Camara within 7 min walking.

Todo está buenisimo.
The hotel is not exactly in the center, but quite close. A couple of metro stations. We really enjoyed our stay there. The cleanliness is just perfect. The staff is very kind and helpful. We only ate breakfast once, but it was excellent, everything was fresh and tasty. The room is quiet and after a long walk around the city it was so nice to come back to our comfortable hotel room and relax. Many thanks to the hotel for helping to make our vacation even better.

The best staff. With the best service. Friendly staff. Hotel is 3 - 4 minutes away from the metro. Also bus stop in 2 steps. Great breakfast, clean and cozy hotel, Clean and fresh towels. Comfortable pillows and mattress, I recommend it

There was nothing else one could want for.
The first impression is always the reception / check-in. The staff were excellent, friendly, professional, helpful, accommodating. Excellent personnel. The design of the hotel is quite nice, It is a restored apartment building. It is modern, clean, clean lines, and there are many small details that the owners have thought of to make one feel welcome and have a nice stay. There were environmentally friendly amenities in the bathroom, coloring books for young children at breakfast, and more. Breakfast is extra. The breakfasts were quite good and again the wait staff were helpful and friendly. The hotel is in a regular neighborhood of Madrid. It was quite quiet. It is quite and feels safe. There are local restaurants nearby and a nice coffee shop across the street. The hotel is 3 short blocks from the Madrid metro, or you can take a bus in to the city center. We highly recommend this hotel.
