The property is just as pictured. Very clean and all the necessities. It’s absolutely no frills which is as expected. The free parking is a definite plus. The staff is very pleasant and helpful. Easy drive to downtown Bilbao. The breakfast was great and a great value. You must reserve for breakfast as space is limited.

Not much that I didn't like

Very clean and comfortable hotel. French lady receptionist was very welcoming and couldn't do enough to help and explain. It's outside Bilbao but you can be there pretty quickly. There's a good restaurant near the funicular station.

The ground floor room was very hot - we didn't think to close the curtains in the afternoon !

Breakfast was excellent. All staff were very helpful and accommodating, and gave an excellent suggestion for a restaurant. A ground floor room was made available at the last minute, when requested for health reasons. Parking a big plus.

Nice room, stunning views of Bilbao from the tiny balcony. Very good location - 2.5 km (5 min by car) to Artxanda funicular; nearby the station, a lot of free parking places. Note that at the Artxanda funicular station you cannot buy a Barik card for public transport, you can only recharge it or buy funicular tickets.

We stayed here as we have to go to Airport early. Hotel is about 9 kms from Bilbao Airport. The room is very convenient and clean. Bilbao town night spot able to see from Hotel.

Just be aware that if there is going to be a pop concert at the Gougenheim during your stay you might be advised to book a room facing away - unless you enjoy rock music. Concert ended at 11 which was fine. (Actually the music was brilliant!)

Fantastic view of the city (beautiful city by the way !) perfect location for a picnic supper. Fenicular railway to the city 3km away perfect way to travel to and from the city.

Not much. Possibly shower in bathroom could do with updating and addition of ceiling fans in bedroom would be a bonus as bedroom was warm.

The hotel is a bit far from the city and we didn't read anywhere that there was a bus every a hour that stop in front of the hotel. The first day we walk up to the mountain! To go down is simplier.

Everything was great. A little way out of town but lovely views from the hotel and it's beautiful garden area.

Excellent service. Eva at reception was most helpful. Apartment has everything we needed with large dining table and sitting area. Clean and comfortable. Great breakfast selection. Powerful shower. Lots of parking.

Walls in rooms were thin as you could hear t.v from other rooms in the corridors.

Breakfast for €10 was excellent. All quality products and plenty of choice. It was worth double that cost, and was far superior to the breakfast we had in The Parador in Caceras which was double the cost.
