We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

PortugalThe bath had an area of rust on the surface and various other marks & stains. There was a noticeable layer of dust on some of the surfaces in the room. The smell of the room was unpleasant. Very thin walls, we could hear the neighbors extremely clearly.
The view was spectacular, worth paying extra for. Some of the staff were very helpful (first receptionist) Good value for location. Is clearly advertised as a 1star hotel, so couldn't expect much more.

SpainThe hotel is very old and the rooms were not very clean. The beds were not very confortable. The AC had only one option, there was no way of setting up the temperature.
The location is very good. There is a parking area right next to the hotel. There are lots of restaurants around and it is very close to the port area.
