Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomThe reception staff were grumpy, unhelpful and rude. Such a shame because this is your first impression. We had a car and asked about parking. The way the receptionist responded we might aswell have asked her to do 50 star jumps. Honestly was the worst check in experience I have ever experienced.
The room and the beds were fantastic. It was the best sleep I have had in a long time. Air con darkness of room made for a fantastic night sleep. Excellent location. Right on the doorstep of bars and restaurants. Breakfast was also lovely but could have been replemised quicker.

United KingdomThe reception staff were very unfriendly, unhelpful and abrupt. If we asked a question, like where can we safely park overnight it was as if we were being a nuisance. We spoke with three receptionist and they all had the same poor unwelcoming attitude. The bar didn’t open until 7pm and even then there was no one there until 8! Nothing in the mini bar and the city was super quiet with little open. It was over 40 degrees when we arrived at 3pm and we really needed a drink! Everything was just too much hassle for them. However, the waiters at breakfast were very lovely and helpful and welcoming. Their English was also far better than the receptionists! Pitched as a luxury 4 star hotel, I would expect the bar to be open 24/7 especially in peak season and for the receptionists to know how to work a front of desk well.
We had a junior family suite (2 adults and 2 kids) which was a great size and very clean. The bathroom was big and the beds super comfortable so we all had a good nights sleep with the lovely air con. Fab central location. Parking near by. We were only a few minutes walk from all the bars and restaurants and enjoyed a lovely meal out. Waiters at breakfast were lovely and the buffet breakfast nice.
