How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

We noticed a few hairs in the room - maybe the floor needed a further clean.
The hotel is in a great location near the main historical sites. The rooftop bar has lovely views and we appreciated the free drink. The room was large and comfortable with a nice view. The bathroom was modern. The lady at reception recommended a lovely local tapas / paella restaurant - the food was delicious. We were able to check in early which was convenient for us. There was secure storage for our bags before we checked out.

We were advised to go the rooftop for complimentary drinks between certain 16:00 and 21:00. We did go up as advised and it was closed and no on was there.
Location ideal and in the heart of the city. Staff were friendly and assisted with our needs. I would recommend it.

Chose Blanq Carmen for the rooftop pool only. (Other hotels do not have a rooftop, nor a pool on top.) Was closed EVERYDAY, so could not make use of it at all. Very disappointing!

The lady at the reception was helpful, but seemed a bit bored or annoyed. Also, our window was towards the busy street infront of the entrance, which was a bit noisy, even with windows closed.
We loved the location of the hotel, as everything was easy to reach. The interior is really nice and modern and the room was clean.

The doors close with a very loud slam, and you hear this all the time from all other rooms in the hallway.
The location was wonderful, just on the edge of the old city center. Breakfast was wonderful and staff was friendly. Room was comfortable and clean!

A bit picky, but I couldn't help noticing that the paint work was a bit sloppy... occupational hazard of mine 🫣
The staff are very friendly. The roof terrace is a great boost and lovely to get a quick dip in too if it's warm. The breakfast buffet was a good start to the day too. Great location, close to the park and the old town. Road noise a slight issue but we get used to it quickly.

We had a bottle of wine purchased for the room and needed wine glasses. When we approached staff for wine glasses we were offered plastic drinking glasses, not very conducive for enjoying a nice bottle of wine. I appreciate it that they have a martini bar and need the glasses for busy periods but there should be some consideration for the patrons in the hotel that want to enjoy a glass of wine together privately.
The hotel is in a great location for exploring the older part of Valencia. Rooms were clean and staff were helpful with directions and suggestions.

Excellent location. Just on the edge of old town Valencia. Very easy to walk to main sights and shopping area. Ideal for a city break. Breakfast could also be purchased for an additional price.

The street facing properties are a bit noisy and the swimming pool was closed.
The rooftop bar and terrace was fabulous. The concierge (Manuel) was very helpful and made us feel at home.

breakfast is not particularly inspiring, stale croissants, pre packed jams. Nothing that would justify the 9euro price. The roof top terrace is not dedicated to the guests, it is not a place where you can go and relax because it is a bar / restaurant. The staff wasn’t particularly helpful and welcoming. The voucher we were given to rent bikes led us to a “shop” with a rude man who told us the bike rental was closed for the whole weekend.
The location is perfect to visit the old city and explore the amazing turia gardens. It is not as quiet as we expected though. We could hear the busy road from the third floor.

Noisy due to the las fallas festival and the price was more than double due to the festival being on.
Lovely hotel in a busy little area very near the old town and right by the towers. Bed very comfortable. Nice welcome drink on the terrace bar.
