Appalling check-in took ages and their credit card reader only partially worked - would not allow us in without pre-payment so one person had to pay for all.

The food served at lunchtime looked excellent so it would have been wonderful to have that option in the evening too. But it is a small enterprise so perhaps evening food is not possible.

The room was well designed and decorated. The staff were friendly. The location was excellent - near the cathedral and river and walkable from the station.

I've been in this small centrally situated hotel before, and this time spent 2 separate nights here, both in the same ground-floor room. The hotel is quite new, and the rooms very clean and comfortable, with good wifi. Close to shops/bars/etc.

Friendly professional reception staff & cleaning staff members. Good set menu for lunch at a reasonable price. Spacious room with relaxing green walls. Big television set. Great location near the river, the Cathedral and the Church of San Miguel. Reasonable value. It's my fourth stay within a lapse of time of eleven months and one knows what the stay is going to be like before you get there because it is a reliable hotel.

Very handy location for getting the train from Madrid for an overnight stay in Palencia before starting on the Camino at Fromista. The staff were very pleasant. Good value

The hotel parking is very tight and not suitable for a large or tall car. Our Audi A3 was OK.

The location is perfect for the town. Breakfast was a buffet which exceeded our expectations. We struggled to find the hotel as the name was not outside, purely the fact that it was a hotel. Parking was a problem - we had requested a parking space at a cost which was fine but on arrival were told that the car park was not suitable for larger cars so we had to park on the street. This in itself was not a problem except it was a fair walk as there are very limited spaces close to the hotel.

Really stunning and modern decor, friendly staff. Dogs are welcome, and lovely river walks 50m away. Central location for most of town, including riverside craft markets and Cathedral / old town, much pedestrianised so child friendly. Parking is about 5 mins away but free, shaded and safe. Lots of bars, shops etc.

Restaurants in Palencia closed Sunday evening, had to have a very dodgy Burger King. Very disappointing, 3rd time we've been to Palencia on our way back to the ferry at Santander as it's a convenient stop off point but will be making other arrangements next time. Hotel great, Palencia disappointing.

The receptionist the second day wasn’t very helpful

The first receptionist was extremely pleasant , helpful with a can do attitude, the receptionist on the second day not so good Clean room and quiet hotel a stones throw away form some really great restaurants and historic attractions Breakfast was good with an ok selection The private secure parking was a bit tight but worked well for us (not so good for large vehicles) Would definitely stop again for longer than one night 👍

The minimalist nature of the furnishing meant few places to hang and store clothes. This was not a problem for our one night stay, but it might be if you were staying for several nights and travel with much luggage.

Location: you can walk to the rail station, river and city centre. The light, airy (superior) room, breakfast, friendly staff, and general ambience of the hotel. We have stayed here before and would stay again.
