Whilst sitting around the pool, we were not allowed to take any food or drink from our apartment there. We were told by the rude lady that worked in the pool bar, that we were only allowed to eat or drink what we purchased at the pool bar 😔 I have never experienced this before on a self catering holiday!

The property was clean, in a good location with a large balcony overlooking the sea. The rooms were spacious especially the two bedroom apartment which had two bathrooms. The reception staff were lovely and very helpful.

When we arrived early, the man available at reception could not speak any English so our questions on arrival could not be answered. However, as we had arrived early, and he let us in to our apartment, we cannot really complain about this! The floors in our apartment were a little dirty with black sand, but this was most likely due to a gentle wind for a few days, which reduced the air clarity for a while.

Pool was excellent. Location was excellent. View was very good. Apartment was spacious. Balcony was spacious and sunny. We arrived early to check in, but it was all ready for us, so we were let in early which was great.

We all found the air conditioning in the villa to be poor, my son has asthma and he felt it was airless and stuffy at night and far too hot to sleep. The apartment was clean and comfortable although fairly basic. We stayed at the hotel when there was a calima cloud and he was advised to wear a mask for 3 to 4 days when he went out, it was 35 degrees when we arrived and we found the air con to be of little use and felt very hot at night. The location was good and overall we enjoyed our stay though would have preferred a villa on a higher floor for more privacy and a better view as the hotel appeared to be very quiet when we stayed. We went out a lot in the car we hired to visit places and found the aircon great in the hire car.

We booked a sea-view room, but unfortunately our room was on the first floor, and and the sea views were partially blocked by the builings in front of us. Higher level rooms must have superb views, as the sunset from the top of the builing was amazing though.

We booked a 2 bedroom, seaview apartment. The flat was clean and spacious, although the furniture was a bit dated. Cleaning service with towel changes ever second day. The pools were good, the childen loved the smaller kid's pool. There is a Lidl right behind the builing, and you've got excellent Lidl views with palm trees by the pools :) On our last day we had a late afternoon flight, and could use the showers and even got fresh towels to clean up after out last swim in the ocean! There are also good restaurants within walking distance. The harbour and the closest beach is cca 15 mins with kids and a pram, was okay for us, might be too much for others though.

Everything was perfect

We had a wonderful time at El Marques Palace. Location is amazing, we had a sea view and were enjoying the beautiful view of Los Gigantes. The hotel is next to a supermarket which is great in case you need to buy food or drinks. Staff is super friendly, room is kept clean, the hotel also has a heated pool. We would love to come back once again as we truly enjoyed our stay and the neighborhood. Warm greetings to Vladimir & Maria - you truly made our stay more memorable! :)

The lack of friendliness from pool bar staff, the lack of music, no entertainment etc, not being allowed refreshments by the pool (big downfall!!), the pool bar breakfast wasn’t good and overpriced

The only thing we did not like was that the pool lifeguard did not seem to be very watchful - preferring to look at his phone or have a smoke away from the pool.

The apartment was ideal for meeting up with our son who lives in Barcelona. Lovely view - big terrace - very near to shops and buses. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The apartment was very near the pool - ideal for a quick dip and it was great that it was heated.

Fantastic location with spectacular views. Our 3 bed apartment was absolutely great, very spacious and clean. Quiet place close to shops and restaurants. Kids loved heated pools. Lovely, helpful reception staff. We will be back soon with group of friends.

Everything was really old. Not very clean. Towels was already yellow from their age. Bed was very uncomfortable.

Adequately if a little sparsely furnished. Kitchen equipment/utensils need updating. Coating on non-stick pans was badly scratched, and there were no baking dishes/trays. No sharp kitchen knives. Overall, good value for money but a little investment would make the stay much more comfortable. Not the hotel's fault, but nearby bars and resort hotels staged highly amplified lounge singers until late most evenings. Very intrusive. Earplugs essential.

Very spacious accommodation (apartment). Pleasant and spacious terrace overlooking neighbouring buildings towards the sea and Los Gigantes cliffs. Good pool with lifeguard and good snack bar. Buildings, pool, and garden areas very well maintained. Friendly and helpful staff with excellent language skills. Rooms cleaned thoroughly on alternate days. All local amenities within an easy walk. Readily available on-street car parking.

Pool bar/restaurant closed early at 6pm. Food there was less than on menu and not great value for money. Be ready for lively children at the pool!

Travelling with two bikes (and bike boxes) it was a little tricky to get to and from the apartment. The lifts are not large enough so we had to do two separate lift rides

The apartment was on the top floor with stunning views of the ocean and the Gigantes rocks. Spacious and well equipped accommodation. Extra nice touch to find a bottle of water in the fridge and another bottle full of red wine as we arrived.

Although the rooms are very well equiped, everything is really old and lot of things were damaged.

Beautiful view, Lidl 2 min walk, everything available (washing machine, microwave, dryer...) Very kind people at reception. In front of our room was heated pool ;).
