Some confusion regarding the double room. I had asked for a twin bedded room not matrimonial. But we sorted it and were given single beds.

The location was very good within the walls of the Old Town. Very reasonable rates. Good view from roof terrace and good information of activities in the area.

Really friendly and helpful staff. Great location. FRooftop yoga 😍 coffee & water etc for free. I also loved the interior decoration.

I booked this accommodation for its proximity to the beach and to the ferry to Tangier. Both reasons for booking were fulfilled in addition to finding lovely areas for strolls and for a superb dining experience at El Chiringuita. I must add that the restaurant was recommended by the host at the Hostal Africa.

The showers are on the small size but great water pressure.

Such a wonderful charming hotel in the middle of the old town of Tarifa. Perfect location, amazing atmosphere and extremely kind staff ! The yoga classes offered at the hotel are also amazing. I will definitely come back and would recommend that cute heaven to all my friends and family.

Other guests were quite loud in the night and early morning

Unfortunately, only spent a very short night there and were not able to discover everything they offer, but it left a good impression. House is very nice decorated and room was clean and comfortable.

Breakfast was pretty much non existent. It was cereal. If that was all they had, don't charge people for breakfast! We went to the grocery store and purchased our own food for breakfast.

Only one minus point: The door from the shared bathroom was really loud.

The kitchen isn’t really accessible. Only open for a portion of the day.

Beautiful hostel, staff are super helpful and went above and beyond to give us advice on our upcoming travels. Beds were comfortable and room was spacious.

The common place in the ground floor felt a bit too quiet for a hostel perhaps. However this was in line with the wellness focus of the hostel.

The terrace and the yoga classes hosted here were excellent. the staff were a delight. The hostel has beautiful décor and is right at the heart of old town tarifa.

we were able to manage, but this is a vintage building without an elevator and very steep steps , so those with mobility issues should look else elsewhere.

We had a great stay at hostal Afrika. It is located in the beautiful old town of tarifa surrounded by little shops and great restaurants/cafes. The roof top terrace is simply amazing, the view breathtaking. The interior of the Hostel is very colorful and well thought out. The owners of the Hostal are so welcoming, friendly and very helpful. Thanks for everything.

we just missed a communal kitchen area as we assumed there would be one (we thought it is more of a hostel place). However, for this price it is a highly recommend place

The shared bathroom was really tiny and so was my room - but being a really affordable deal there is now way you can complain about that! ...and also being a old house in a lively town it can get a bit noisy from time to time - but loved the complimentary earplugs in the room!

Loved my 1 week stay at Hostal Africa! The location is superb, close to all the restaurants, bars and shops of beautiful Tarifa Old Town, the staff is extraordinarily friendly and attentive, the interior is cozy, the view from the roof top terrace really nice and the room and shared bathroom really clean! Can only recommend and will be back if I am making my way back to Tarifa. Thanks!!!

Great location. Hotel with a good vibe and a superb terrace. I've super appreciated the service, Felicity is really a supportive and gentle host. I'll absolutely come back if again in Tarifa.

Needs an update in furniture. You can hear everyone coming in as we had a room near the stairs. Cleaners didn't knock to check if we were in the room, so woke us up by opening the door.

Location is superb and the receptionist was very nice and helpful.

The fact that i had to leave and go home

Woow, what a dream hostal. Its just a heaven of serenity in old town tarifa. There are 3 yoga sessions a day, the owner and especially the manager Lilla are super nice. You really feel relaxed from the moment you enter the door till its time to go. Definitely would come back here. The terras is also super nice and has space to store/dry kite gear.
