Soundproofing! The people next door were loud and I could hear everything; tv, phone conversations, coughing etc. Fortunately I was prepared with earplugs! The room was smaller than the photos and there wasn't much room around the basin for toiletries - not a problem as I was travelling alone but for two people these could be issues. Coffee capsules replaced each day would be better than just two for the first day!

Location was central and all the main sites achievable by foot. The room was kept very clean. The shower was good and the bed comfortable. Staff were friendly and responsive. Good value compared to other Madrid options.

Size of the room was tight for two people who needed to access bags. Also, check in was not at the property but around the corner; a sign on the door to that effect would be helpful and would have saved us time and inconvenience.

Smell of cleaning fluid was extremely strong throughout the Anton Martin building. No air movement in the room or corridors. No tea/ coffee making facilities. No space on sink for toiletries. Did not live up to the description on Booking.com

The biggest problem was that the staff did not provide correct beds as requested, even though request was confirmed. Check-in, check-out, and breakfast were located at another property few minutes away, which was not a big problem. But the lack of reception on property made it very difficult to ask questions and to fix problems. A bit annoyed that only one regular and one decaffeinated coffee pod were provided in the room, when there were two guests. And only for the first night. Nothing was provided for the second night.

The breakfast was good, but often the coffee was gone and items were not restocked 1/2 hour before breakfast was over. If you got there early, there was more food, but coffee was always an issue.

Desk staff were VERY helpful! The refrigerator in the room was great to have. The location was excellent - close to Plaza Major, Plaza del Sol and a reasonable walk to Retiro as well. We were able to have a bag of laundry done for us for just 8 Euro. Street had everything you'd want on it.

The reception is about a block away from the Hostal where you have to check in and out and that’s also where breakfast was.

Our only concern would be having to pick up our access card from a different hotel and it be raining at the same time. Also the same concern in the morning when going to the other hotel for breakfast

VERY small room for 2 people. Not enough spare space. And just one small mirror in the toilet. Would be better to put in the rooms one more mirror (at least on the door).

This hotel is located very close to the center of Madrid, to main attractions, and to the metro station. It's really easy to get to the airport. Very quiet. In rooms you have everything you need for your short stay. Nice breakfast, lots of bakery, and fruits, but not enough cheese/sausages. I'd recommend to improve it. Responsive staff. Personnel at the reception were always friendly. The room is cleaned upon request, but since I asked for it daily, the staff cleaned it up well. The only thing is that sometimes girls forgot to put toilet paper in.
