How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Not much I can say about dislikes as we didn't have any, thought our stay was very good and enjoyable
Breakfast had a variety to choose from with lots of options. The location was easy to reach with plenty of small bars and restaurants next to the beach. Our room was clean and tidy and beds comfortable

Nothing we didn't like, only note is that the decor is a little dated however this is more than reflected in the price.
A hidden gem in the best location. The bathroom was great, and the bed was super comfortable, and the room was cleaned every day. The small kitchen even had a washing machine and a fridge freezer - 10/10 for the freezer! Friendly staff who were happy to hold our bags until our room was ready. Easy key drop off for check and a quick refund of security deposit.

"Staying at Irati Benidorm Old Town. Hotel was an absolute delight! From the charming atmosphere of the old town to the impeccable service, every moment was memorable. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, and the rooms were both elegant and cozy. The location couldn't have been better, with easy access to the beach and countless restaurants. We'll definitely be returning to this hidden gem in the heart of Benidorm!"

Hotel Irati was an easy booking, who's staff were warm, and welcoming. The hotel was clean and tidy, which included our rooms cleaned everyday. The hotel is located central to all the amenities within Benidorm, Old Town. Breakfast which included a drink was included as part of our stay, this was made individual and cooked fresh.

The only gripe in my room could have benefitted from blackout curtains. The window was only covered by nets which let a lot of light in. There are shutters but they were locked in position. Minor niggle but easily fixed.
Great location, staff really helpful and friendly . Prices were excellent for room and breakfast.

A shame there are no hairdryers or irons in the room. You can hire a hairdryer but we didn't want to risk there not being any left so had to take our own. Also tea/coffee facilities in the room would be great.
Fantastic location, staff very friendly. The rooms were cleaned everyday and the poached eggs at breakfast were amazing! A wonderful little find and very good value for money.

The access to the room is by a steep staircase, it was well lit, however would not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues. It did not detract from my stay, just be aware if steps can be an issue to you.
Staff extemely helpful, room was large and bright had a small kitchenette everything wa clean and the room was serviced daily. Perfect location in the old town. This was my first stay at Irati it hopefully wont be my last.

The hotel was in a great location, on a quiet aside street in the old town. It was clean and comfortable. The staff were very welcoming and the breakfast was lovely.

Wasn't unhappy with anything apart from disrespectful guests a couple of nights being noisy through the night when coming in at the early hours but you can't legislate for that, nothing to do with the hotel.
The Room was spotless with an excellent Shower and the Bed was very comfortable. The Location is Fantastic absolutely perfect for our stay so close to the beach and on the Old Town

I loved staying here and have already booked to stay again. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean and the room was serviced every day. The staff are all really nice and very helpful. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family.
