Aside from the standard and sometimes challenging aspects of coliving that most people know about I don't have many negatives I can think of. The parking in the area is tough but was surprisingly pretty easy nearby the hostel. All good for the most part.

Solid place to stay on Tenerife. The staff and volunteers work hard to make it feel like home. The location is pretty close to the beach and they even do some group activities and a weekly barbecue which are fun options. It is clean, safe and a good way to connect with people from many different countries and backgrounds. If you need lodging in the area, give La Tortuga a try.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a truly exceptional hostel, a place that exceeded all my expectations and which I highly recommend to anyone seeking an unforgettable experience. From the moment I arrived, I felt right at home. The welcoming atmosphere and incredibly friendly staff made me feel comfortable immediately. The reception was warm and helpful, ready to answer any questions I had and offer useful advice on what to do and see in the area. The hostel regularly organizes numerous events that encourage interaction among guests. I participated in several themed nights, and social activities that allowed me to meet people from all over the world. These events not only enriched my stay but also created a strong sense of community among us guests. The hostel is well-maintained, with clean and comfortable rooms. The common areas, such as the kitchen, lounge and garden with pool, are perfect for socializing or simply relaxing after a day of exploration. The tortuga hostel is a great place to stay if you want a nice and chill place with many different people and with the possibility of partecipating in different activities organized by the hostel, like yoga, sunset and barbecue! All the rooms and the common areas are very clean and every morning there is a breakfast with coffe, tea, and cake, which was also very nice :) In general I was very satisfied with my stay and I would totally recommend it

Very cool hostel, cool guests, cool staff, a lot of amenities. This was my first time in any hostel and I loved it. We had fun together, with diff kind of activities. It's clean, affordable, location is okay, a lot of free parking on the street, 15m walk to the nearest beach.

The bathroom itself was a bit disappointing, in urgent need for renovation; - the shower curtain was far too short and it was impossible to have even a quick wash in the shower without flooding the whole bathroom floor. - no air conditioning in this object was harder to deal with than expected

The hostel receptionists are pleasant and friendly people - their attitude is very positive and welcoming, The common area and garden must be ideal for socialising and running events, A lot of things going on - gatherings, barbecue, yoga, etc. The mattress in my double bedroom was veeery firm and very comfy, The beer choice is excellent

I booked on a Wednesday which was the day of the BBQ night, for just 10 euros there was a fantastic unlimited bufet :) I really appreciated that there was not only meat but also many options for vegans. A shout out for the curry which was super yummy! There are a lot of people who come to the night both the travelers in the hostel as well as the locals which creates a wonderful atmosphere. Comfortable beds and a relaxing garden. I recommend La Tortuga without a doubt!

What a lovely hostel! The team were so friendly as were the other guests. Located on a quiet road within walking distance to shops and the beach. The room was big and really clean. The food at the Wednesday BBQ was amazing. Have already recommended to my friends to stay here.

Great location in Costa Adeje, close to Fanabe and Duque beach. Kind and responsible staff. I didn’t use the pool finaly but I appreciate that there was. It’s not common in hostels!

I want to say a big THANK YOU to all the adorable staff and especially Karen who found me a bed to stay longer and enjoy the lovely atmosphere and sociality of the hostel. If you can't find a place on Booking, try asking at the reception directly because they have beds to offer that they don't sell on the web. The activities are great, first of all the amazing BBQ evening after which they took us to a flamenco bar which was super fun. La Tortuga is by far one of the most beautiful and lively hostels I've ever been to, I recommend it to everyone!

Of the three hostels I visited in Tenerife this one was the best, and also one of the best I ever visited in general. Great people (guests and staff), comfortable room, clean, parking at the street. The hostel is actually two houses that are somewhat connected, one is rather quiet and the other very social, so you can choose where to hang out depending on your current mood.

I stayed four-nights at LA TORTUGA HOSTEL, I thoroughly enjoyed my time there and definitely plan to return someday! Nearly all the staff were volunteers, and while I don't know about their selection process, I can confidently say they were chosen wisely and displayed a high level of professionalism. The owner, Ale, was exceptionally welcoming. The breakfast was light, but I had no complaints, and the accommodation was reasonably priced. Additionally, they organized various events like barbecues and taskita ... adding to the overall positive experience. If you're seeking a lively social atmosphere and the chance to meet people from around the world, this place is at the top of the list.
