Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

GermanySome aspects of the room (eg. bathroom) were a bit tired. The street is quite noisy, and closing the window / electric shutters means no fresh air, so you need to run the a/c overnight.
Tidy hotel in a quiet residential area. Room was compact yet comfortable. Breakfast was pretty good. Staff friendly and helpful.

United KingdomDuring early morning hours there was a lot of noise around (i.e. doors and stuff banging, etc.). This was probably due to the staff cleaning around the place, but for sure, this could have been avoided.
Great location! Hotel has excellent facilities (i.e. nice reception with working area) and the staff was always extremely helpful and polite.

Czech Republicwe stayed first on the 4th-floor room number 412, there are electric blinds in the room which we have closed for the night. Unfortunately in the morning when we tried to open them the switches went off and we stayed in complete darkness with no light. Reception said they will check and after 30 mins nothing has happened, we had to get ready, make up and dress using mobile phones light. When we came down the receptionist informed us that he went on our floor already and it should work, he just didn't care to tell us. In general, unfortunately, you have a feeling that staff is annoyed by you if you don't speak Spanish. when the next day the story repeated - you press the blinds -no electricity, we were immediately moved to another room.
it is a nice design hotel with a good location next to the metro with a lot of options of cafes/restaurants around. it is a nice pleasant walk 20-30 mins to the city center, so we didn't use almost public transport. The room was nicely decorated with a comfortable bed. some rooms have a coffee machine, but our first room had only an electric kettle. I also appreciated the nicely perfumed entrance hall of the hotel

ItalyEverything was fine except for the price. They were capitalizing on a fully booked Madrid, but I still paied more than double the normal price.
It's a comfortable hotel located in a neighborhood where there is no reason to stay unless you are on a business trip. Breakfast good but overpriced. It is conveniently located nearby a metro station and if you like to walk you can go everywhere in 45 minutes tops. The staff was nice, temperature in the room perfect. Bed comfortable.

ItalyThe room was with 2 single beds, while a double bed was requested. There is no soundproofing in the room, so you will hear the people in the corridor, the vacuum cleaner in the other room and the noise of the street. The floor was scratched and the safe was low on battery.
The location of the hotel is good – you can take a 5-7 mins walk to the metro station. However, the street can become noisy on the weekend. The room was quite clean. The breakfast is okay but seemed to be overpriced.

AustriaThe noise! Perhaps we were just unlucky, as I am surprised no one else mentioned that in the reviews, but even after getting a room facing more quiet street, the noise was annoying. The windows were not airtight, one could clearly hear roller shutters chattering in the wind. The waste truck coming both nights of our stay after midnight (sic!) did not help either
The staff was super nice and helpful. We were not entirely happy with the room we got (facing a busy street), but it was switched with no problem. We got two glasses and a corkscrew to have a bottle of wine we brought with us in the room. Bathroom is clearly a highlight. It is spacious and really ... elegant. The room may be a little bit compact, but nothing really to complain about. It was clean and nicely decorated. Breakfast selection was excellent. While it was not possible to have lunch or dinner in the hotel there is an option of ordering food to the room and it is really exceptional and reasonably priced. The tuna carpaccio was out of this world. The hotel was located just couple of minutes walk from the metro station, on the corner of two streets of which one is really busy and noisy. I would strongly recommend to request a room facing the other one

SpainRoom was on the first floor directly next to rubbish bins, very noisy when the lorry arrives to empty the bins. Drafty windows. AC was very noisy especially when restarting during the night. Beds were on wheels without brakes... Hotel parking very steep, but then it is located in the centre of Madrid.
Breakfast was very good. Location was good. Staff very helpful.
