Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

SlovakiaThe rooms are really worn out, and what is even worse - forget about any sort of sound isolation. I could hear my neighbor snoring through the night, other people alarm clocks and talking/laughing... if your room also faces the street that must be a nightmare I presume. The room was also small, I cannot imagine how two people fit there with their luggage and moving around. Cleanliness was a questionable topic too - there was hair in the corners of the bathroom, dusty parts of the room etc. Luckily I was basically just sleeping there so I didn't stress about it much, but if I had to be in the room also through the day, that would call for some additional action.
The staff was really welcoming, helpful and friendly. The breakfast had a nice and versatile selection of different foods, as a vegetarian I was very happy with guacamole spread, cheeses etc.

AustraliaOur room was very small - and the hotel was quite noisy. Breakfast was very busy and eggs were hard to get - lots of cold meat and pastries - so 16 euros was a bit expensive for the tastes of non-Europeans.
Location in Deusto was great - we had a lovely walk across the river to the Guggenheim Museum and there were several great small bars and a great steakhouse. In this area, there was little English spoken, and dinner not available until 8.30pm. Staff were helpful.

PolandThe interior of rooms was made of somewhat cheap materials which was, including doors - the noise of the corridor was well heard. Net curtains were missing clips. Just small stuff but could be improved for the price.
Very good location to visit Bilbao. Breakfast buffet was very good as well. Very kind and helpful staff. Large rooms and decent size bathrooms. Clean. Nice bathroom cosmetics.
