How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Friendly staff, very helpful and nice Location is amazing Room had balcony Our kids joined at the last minute and the reception accepted the facts and acted accordingly and solved the situation without any issues Taxis are available most of the time just in front of the hotel, which is a rare commodity in Barcelona

Pool was cold we visited the end of April, and the hotel was definitely a little pricey for the time of the year!
Great size room, had a separate area for getting ready really handy. Comfy bed and lovely balcony. Cleaned well everyday. Staff were so friendly! Would recommend this hotel very highly short walk from shops and tourist things.

Nice location a few minutes walk from the city center. Quiet neighborhood, maybe 10 mins walk to Catalunya plza. Clean, comfortable hotel, great staff. Extensive breakfast buffet daily.

The staff, especially the front desk staff, Raul, who helped us plan our trip to Montserrat. We loved their breakfast buffet. The hotel is near tourist spots & restaurants.

I love the fact that from the stepping into hotel there was Young Gentelmen with big smile ready to help and direct to the right person! I loved the rooftop view, pool and sitting area! We never mention anything about my husband's birthday....and still they have treated him to surprise lovely chocolate cake and even a candle....few balloons at the room was a nice touch! Hugo from guest relations orgabised everything! Wee things like this matters! Location was just perfect! Metro near by and evening stroll was very nice

The breakfast was quite good, but I feel like there could have been a little more range in what was offered with things like cooked meats - the only thing missing. However this is likely just because I’m from the UK. haha
The hotel room was lovely. The staff were incredibly friendly and very helpful and patient. Zero faults. They also called me in my room when I had my do not disturb sign on for a while (I was working) just to make sure I was okay and if I needed anything. Loved that lacto free milk was offered at breakfast.

Car parking expensive at €26 a night in a very tight underground car park. Dog charges were also expensive @ €35
Nice hotel in a nice location. Breakfast was lovely but so it should be @ €20 a person

Air conditioner unit in room was very dusty, room needs more hocks on the wall as the bath robes take up most of the space. and please can we have some small jugs at breakfast to take milk to the tables in, to add to our tea. sorry very british.
Hotel is in a great location and staff were much friendlier than on previous visits. Breakfast is good and the food is fresh and the staff keep the dinning room very clean.

As with the other NH Collection in which we stayed, the air conditioning was rather weak. This wasn’t the most important thing as we were visiting Barcelona in February, but the climate control took most of the night to get the room temperature down to a cooler 15 degrees. A very small downside and certainly nothing of significant note.
The property was clean, spacious, well located and had a nice bar/restaurant. This was our second NH Collection we have stayed at and the quality is very consistent. Staff were a pleasure throughout the stay - they generously spoke English and were very accommodating. Raul gave us a warm welcome and a rough guide of the city - thank you.

Only minus for me was the bed, which was not comfortable.
location is great,at walking distance from the city center and near several shops, the staff is very friendly and helpful, hotel is absolutely clean, kudos to the cleaning staff as well.

Thin walls. I could hear conversations in next room. Was woken up all mornings by knocks on the next room door (I assume they got breakfast delivered to room). Breakfast seems on the expensive side.
Good location. Clean and fairly modern. Bathroom was spacious.

Everything was as planned and expected, the staff professional and facilities clean and straightforward. I have no complaints.
Great location, lovely staff, convenient parking (although a bit of a jump around due to the one-way-streets). I appreciate this hotel's flexibility, cleanliness, and location next to the coolest area in Barcelona.

Location was near all the sights and great place to walk our dog. Neighborhood was lively, but it was quiet enough to sleep due to how the hotel and room were situated.
