Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe parking. Typically Spanish! Very difficult to maneuver around pillars etc. but not uncommon in Spain.

Amazing parador. The Bar de Noche was the best place for a nightcap I've ever experienced.

United KingdomThe car parking was very good but access through an elevator very narrow and a bit scary.
The Parador is fabulous. Its been a palace and a nunnery. Our room was probably a cheaper one because of using Booking.com. Not much of a view but still very nice with our own little sitting room. The bathroom set out as Jack and Jill and it even had twin shower heads. Poor weather the day we arrived so for a change we ate in the Restaurant and had an excellent meal. Had breakfast as well in our deal which was also very good. Plasencia old town is a great place to visit and i wished we had had more time.

A spacious pleasant experience typical of many Paradours. The bar food was good and varied. Parking via an extraodinary car lift was efficient , but challenging for a claustrophobic. Impresive swimming pool and sun area.

United KingdomScary garage access for unconfident driver but happily we got a space just up from the garage entrance.
Our favourite parador so far. Full of historic character and charm with warm friendly service from nearly every staff member (unusual). We stayed for 3 nights and our superior double was wonderfully spacious with comfy sofa and enough chairs for our friends to sit with us. Very nice pool area. Really nice choice of food in bar/cafe (particularly recommend the avocado & tomato on toast), good restaurant in the refectory and enjoyable wine list.

United KingdomThe dining staff were unfriendly. They were efficient but never smiled and one lady in particular when we asked for water was really quite hostile. As a consequence we only had breakfast...we had intended to have dinner there. All other staff were fine.
A really beautiful and comfortable property. Lovely pool and our room (superior) was superb. Some of the standard rooms by the pool looked quite small and dark...well worth going for superior. At night with the lights on the whole parador was amazingly atmospheric.

MaltaThe pool is really shallow, but this is a minimal complaint. The quiet sunsets from my sunbed were unforgettable though !
This was our second stay at Plasencia Parador. The reception staff was lovely and so helpful. The room was good and quiet, though the last time we stayed there, the room was much nicer and bigger. Breakfast was good, as expected, really. We loved the little bamboo tongs we were given, to serve ourselves, due to Covid 19 measures. The beds and pillows were super comfy. Parking is excellent and I was given excellent instructions by the reception ladies who were very helpful. I was impressed by the protocols observed by the first aider by the pool. Every day at the same time he checked ph levels and other chemical tests, using proper equipment. A very efficient, well-mannered, and meticulous young gentleman. I would stay here again and again.

SpainNot a thing.
A beautiful old monastery right in the centre of Plasencia with very friendly and efficient staff. I spent just one night here with two friends in a pleasant, quiet triple room. Great towels, comfortable bed, nice furnishings and well functioning air conditioning for when it was 38 degrees outside! Breakfasting and eating in a parador can be expensive but luckily we found the restaurant/bar Bari nearby. It was so hot we only made it as far as the Bari, which is the first place you come to when you go out the front door, and fortunately the food was great. We had breakfast and dinner there. I would love to go back and stay at the Parador in Plasencia when the temperatures are more civilized.

United KingdomParking was a disaster. In the end we parked 10 0r 15 minutes walk away and had to leave our packed car with all our stuff inside, on a street in the lower town. Had hoped to pay for Parador garage parking and requested this. Parking shoyuld be bookable even if limited numbers are feasible.

United KingdomExcellent hotel we stayed twice this trip one night each in May and June. The beautiful historic building has been converted to a lovely hotel complete with swimming pool. Secure parking and easy to access from the motorway makes it a great stop over and the excellent air conditioning was very welcome when we arrived as the outside temperature was 40C.
