How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Accessibility and location in town. all shops are around and transports facilities very well situated. the appartment is very bright and very comfortable x5 persons - one couple and 3 teens. all facilities in the appartment are exceptional - highly recommended thank you

God bed and the location was very central.
Terribel smell in bathroom. Entrance to the bath room, where from inside off the bedroom. Other than that, it was okey. Nice sun terrasse on the top off apartment, but no sunbed or furniture on it. Private terrasse, but next door apartment, could see over the fence. Only one key to the apartment. Security 24/7, so possibel to store luggage downstairs. Apartment was at 6'th floor.

The only thing we didn’t like is the AC both in the living room and the bedroom is not working. The weather was pleasant when we came so not too much of a bother but gets warm at night when sleeping.
There is no breakfast or fruits or bottled water provided but the location is in the middle of everything so that helps a lot to buy the essentials you need. The selling point of this place is its location and has 24/7 security guard so it made us feel safe during the entire stay.

The bed was rather uncomfortable & squeaky.
The location was fantastic. Lots of great restaurants and a supermarket, all walking distance from the apartment. Metro is also just outside the apartment which was another bonus. The flat itself had a well equipped kitchen and facilities to wash clothes.

Brilliant location and apartment was very quiet, large and clean. One slight confusion (mostly on my part) was that I thought there was someone on reception, so we arrived early to drop our bags off, but the building security wasn't aware as they are private apartments, not an aparthotel. It's best to text the number on the booking in advance to arrange a time. However, after a few mins everything was sorted and the check in process went really well. They kindly booked a taxi for us to the airport as we needed a large vehicle and recommend restaurants etc. We are aiming to return for a longer period as the apartment is so good and the location is fantastic.

There was no scotch bright in the kitchen and for some reason only a broom and no mop.
The location was great, close to everything and a very nice building with security 24/7. I also loved the tub, we really enjoyed taking long baths after walking on foot all day.

Soundproofing of walls may not be sufficient: we could hear the elevator and neighbors
Excellent location at the corner of plaza Catalunya; Very nice building. No noise from streets. Inside the unit looks like apartment, not dormitory. Very comfort stay.

The bathroom showers both leak- and there’s no way this isn’t a known issue the way the water has been damaging the door frames over time. And there’s no rack to hand a hand towel in the upstairs bathroom just broken racks. Also our flight was delayed and we couldn’t get to the property until almost midnight. The host company was very pleasant and we tried very hard to get there as quick as possible updating them all the way and we were still told we had to pay 25 euro for a late check I - had I known that, we wouldn’t have even worried about trying to get there as quick as possible after landing- we would have eaten first.
The space is lovely and situated in an ideal location close to everything. The beds are quite comfortable and there’s ample space.

I was charged 25 euros to book in after 10pm even though the website on booking.com said that check in was available till midnight .On booking the apartment I was asked to specify an arrival time which I indicated 2200 to 2300 I received a message back saying the host had accepted this at no extra charge .A couple of days later I received a message asking me to pay 25 euros .When I told the host all of the above I was told they would ammend with booking.com and was told to "hurry up and be as quick as you can " - I was on a flight arriving at 9.35 pm therefore could do nothing to speed up my arrival time .Absolute disgrace
