Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaNot the hotel, but that it can be loud at night from all the bar goers and party people. It’s not that bad in my opinion, I was able to sleep fine. Ear plugs would solve that issue.
The hotel is very nice, it’s very aesthetically pleasing. It makes you feel like you’re staying at an authentic and old vibe place. It’s location is prime in my opinion. Close to the bazaars, Alhambra, and the historical part of Granada. The hotel and the room were very nice in my opinion. The bathroom is regal. The staff are great. Bring ear plugs if you can’t sleep with street noises at night. That’s the only thing.

CanadaLike most European hotels, not a lot of room to lay out two suitcases. No TV. Breakfast was okay.
It was located on busy, mostly pedestrian cobbled street (not the best for dragging. luggage to taxi stand for departure, but taxi did deliver to door. Room was large. Shower was large.

SpainFor our stay, we felt everything was catered for. I cant think of anything which would have made our stay better.
The location was great, within walking distance of the moroccan quarter and a good choice of restaurants and the cathedral. The hotel had character and the staff very friendly. Rooms were very comfortable. ideal for me as the mattress was firm, but hubby likes something a bit softer but still managed to snore the night away. Breakfast had pleanty of choice from cold cheese and meat, to eggs, different breads, cereals, juices, yogurts, fruit and coffee or tea. The room overlooked the courtyard and was peaceful. They even allowed us to leave our luggage on the day of leaving to enable us to have a last roam around the area.

United StatesI liked everything about this hotel.
This Is a wonderful hotel. It is beautifully and historically decorated with art throughout. The room was quite large with window doors looking down on Elvira and vendor shops. The tile work in the rooms were beautiful and in Arabic style. The breakfast buffet is very good with a very wide number of choices including meats, cheeses, fruit both cut and whole, granola, flakes, nuts, breads, pastries, juice, tea, coffee, etc. The staff is very thoughtful and answers and assists with all inquiries. The location on Elvira is the Albaicin, close to so much, just a short walk to Plaza Nueva. There's a laundromat about 2 blocks away on Elvira right next to a terrific Baklava bakery called Petra ❤️

United StatesNothing I can think of. The place is conveniently located in a narrow street and the taxi had some minor difficulties in negotiating the narrowness.
The location of the hotel is excellent. In a narrow busy street C. Elvira, the hotel is quaint and comfortable. The staff is very pleasant and speak English perfectly with a lovely Spanish accent. The breakfast is more than adequate for Euro 10. There are a ton of Moroccan and Lebanese restaurants close by - everything from fine dining to takeout. Everything is a walking distance and the Viator tours started from Playa Nueva. The taxi ride from the train station was inexpensive - taxis run on the meter and take credit cards. All in all a great travel experience in Granada.

United KingdomNot much.. maybe offer of gluten free cereal as well as bread would be nice. Oh and a better light on the roof area.. so you didn't risk being locked out!! Otherwise all great.
Helpful friendly staff at desk and breakfast room. Provided bread for my gluten free breakfast discreetly and well so I didn't feel awkward. Plenty of food at breakfast.. fresh cheeses, meats, bread, jams and cereals, juices, teas and coffees. Nice seating areas around hotel where we were able to sit with a drink and play games. Lift for accessibility when we arrived and left with heavy suitcases was helpful. Staff locked our cases away on last day off stay so that we could collect them when we were ready to leave für next destination. Seating area and little kitchen in bedrooms was nice. Beds were clean and comfortable. Hotel wasn't noisy.. but it was in a fantastic position for accessing all the sites. Teterias literally just across the road, market area and cathedral close as was the Alhambra.

CanadaThe kitchenette could be a little more equipped if possible for longer stays. Including paper towels/napkins, kitchen towel and cutlery would be very useful.
Breakfast was very good and the gentleman did a great job with preparing and making us feel welcome. Our room was very good and we enjoyed everything. Unfortunately the weather was not great so we could not enjoy the terrace which looked ideal to enjoy a glass of wine. We will come back to enjoy it!
