Water pressure for showers if there is more than one going at a time! Not sure if much can be done about that though, maybe a little more space for clothes storage in the shared room but was still okay!

Fantastic location in my opinion, close enough to town and the beach. Facilities were good and really enjoyed breakfast each morning! The property felt secure and parking around the area wasn't too difficult, just a little searching required at times! The terrace is a suntrap :)!

Wifi range is not good. Was very weak in my room. If they give locker in the room itself, it would be better.

It is in a very calm location and the people are really good. Everything is within walking distance.

This was already my second time I stayed at Sol y Mar, always loving to come back, with the great staff (Arianna, Angels and the Team), nice atmosphere, location and the people. I am definitely coming back when visiting Corralejo.

They charge 10 euros per week extra for a locker. First hostel I have seen this. Same for a bedsheet. I was unfortunate to get a room with 3 senior people all snoring really heavily. Struggled to get sleep. Ventilation needs to be improved in the rooms.

Angels was absolutely amazing, however she was speaking Spanish most times even though knowing that I don’t speak the language… My 2 bed shared room could be further improved with more shelving, hanging hooks (e.g behind the door), same goes for bathrooms regarding hooks. More outside drying areas would be helpful maybe by further utilising the ‘currently locked’ roof space…

The vibe, the community, the roof terrace and the closeness to the harbour whilst still being quiet. Clean, friendly place and absolutely accommodating - lockers in community areas can be rented for when your flight departs much later than the check-out time. Cannot comment on other services such as Surf school as I was only there for a short time so couldn’t take advantage of the various offerings they had right at the hostel.

the only thing that can be improved is the key system of the main entrance with a code and the Wifi on the terrace as well some sun awning .

the hostel is situated in a very calm area and far from the tourist hassle.It felt like home .

I had planned to visit Fuerteventura for nine days at the very last minute and decided to book at the Sol y Mar Surf Camp Hostel after reading some positive past guest reviews. The first few days were nice; however, then the host 👼 turned weird with me over a punctured bicycle tyre, which wasn't even my fault it burst. I offered to repair the tyre the same day out of goodwill, however, I was told to leave it. I feel the issue could have been resolved there and then, but instead, it was dragged into a big drama where a few days later I was told to go and pick up the bike and pay double what I would have paid to repair it easily myself. In the following days and for the rest of my trip I tried to be amicable and let bygones be bygones, however, I felt a negative energy from this one individual anytime I’d return to the hostel so I simply stayed away to avoid any further conflict. My overall experience at the Sol y Mar Surf Camp Hostel was okay, and I only have good words for Kristina, the Colombian girls, and Fernando. In the end, I realised this whole drama that had been created had nothing to do with me or the burst tyre but more to do with a bitter, manipulative older woman being rejected while searching for a holiday romance with a younger man. I will return to the island, but definitely in a different situation away from any “telenovela”. Amen

A simple but comfortable hostel in a great location, very close to the center of Corralejo, - port, beach, supermarket, bus stop, restaurants, bars, clubs, - everything you need is a short walk away. You can't beat this location, and yet it's calm and you can get a good night's sleep. Lots of storage room for your things inside the room. And no bunk beds ;) It has rooftop for sunbathing and chilling. Simple breakfast included.

the room has a window facing the hallway. people slam the doors because they don’t know how to work them. Men talk loudly In the hallway in the night, and turn on the lights all night so you keep raking up. The kitchen has a gas-stove with only two out of four functioning elements, and is very crammed in space- there’s another kitchen there one could’ve used, but it’s not in function. The rooms are mixed, and there’s a lot of men, 50+ staying there at times. Some of them can be okay, but some of them can be heavily snoring, noisy and inconsiderate drunkards with misogynistic comments. So if you don’t love those, or noise makes it difficult for you to sleep, it’s better to choose somewhere with separated genders or a hostel where people are there to do sports.

The mattresses are not really comfortable, also the water in the shower is not really strong. The kitchen is not really clean.

The kitchen is a bit small, while the bigger kitchen has great space, but the gas stove is not working or that one. One of the showers lacked a bit of maintenance. The rest were great rain shower head showers

It is a good hostel, friendly and helpful staff, relatively large rooms. No bunk beds 🙏 and it was not a party hostel. which is really nice if you have kitesurf lessons all week. Next to that, the location is great and there is a kitchen, roof top chill area and a place to hang your wetsuits and store your surfboard. I intended to stay only 1 week there, but extended my stay to 2 weeks because it was a good hostel. During the stay I've met really awesome people, but the last night there was one disturbing guest who did not followed the house rules. The hostel dealt with this directly after noticing them. They really care about the guests, I felt it the 2 weeks and this is one of the actions that shows it.

Breakfast were there, but it was mostly just hydrates, without any proteins or fruit. Kitchen is small and relatively unequiped, but completely enough for basic needs, which is totally understandable for a low price.

everyone, the guests and the staff were very kind and helpful . We talked a lot . I really liked the roof terrace. Angel is a true angel,she helped me plan my tours and even shared with me which is the best grocery store.
