How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The isolation is not very good and I heard all the noise from elevator and other guests. The breakfast assortment is poor.
The location is perfect - at the center and 3-4 minutes walking from the streets with all the city life. The room was large with big comfortable bed and so nice bathroom with jacuzzi. The terrace was also large and clean, with table and beautiful city view. In the room there is a coffee machine.

The weather was hot and the air-conditioning hadn't been switched on yet for the season, so the room was very hot. However, the reception staff were understanding and helpful so moved us to a lower floor and that helped.
The location was great; close to both the old and new parts of town with a nice view of the River and most attractions are within walking distance. Staff were very helpful and friendly. A very big shout out to Miriam who served breakfast every morning. She greeted us so pleasantly every morning with a big smile and is such a cheerful and helpful person. Thanks Miriam! Breakfast is great and varied.

Breakfast was not as nice as the hotel itself. The street the hotel is on is also a bit noisy if you want to sleep with windows open.

It was a bit loud. In the hallway and the pipes in the bathroom (from other rooms).
The location is absolutely the best. The room is big enough for 2 People and I had no problem with the check in or check out. Fantastic!

On this occasion, the shower head in the bathroom took on a life of its own, during the course of a shower it could either stay where it was, suddenly drop (due to the water pressure changing) so it angled itself downwards, or (if the water pressure increased) would suddenly shoot up towards the ceiling. Made for some interesting showers. But this minor thing really was the only negative.
This was my third visit to this hotel and had a very large double room with a balcony, with good views of the city. As always the room was clean and comfortable, and the location is ideal for visiting both the old and new parts of Malaga, with neither being more than a 5 minute walk away. The marina area although not close to the hotel was only a 10 minute (maximum) walk away through the old town.

The hotel room was on the top floor and beautifully airy and spacious. The bed was super comfortable and the location of the hotel is excellent - just on the edge of the 'old town' and very easy to walk in minutes to brilliant bars, restaurants and museums etc. The staff were also so helpful and friendly. Perfect for a one or two night stay.

Definietly overprized. I paid 130€ for a standard room, for the less money in Granada, Ronda, Cordoba and Cadiz I had absolutly beautiful hotels, with unique style and decoration, when I realy wanted to hang out. This hotel is comfortable just to sleep, abd it is perfectly ok, but the room should be no more than 75€.

Could do with new lick of paint
Location was good. On the side of Old Town, but 2 min to main shopping street and Constitution Square. Yet easy to access by car or call Bolt if need be, without getting into the old town narrow streets itself. Easy to find. Near Canal and large connecting streets

Tea milk and water not replaced in room but as soon as I asked was given some so not a problem.
Terrific location.very friendly helpful staff especially Maria on reception and breakfast lady...made difference when travelling alone...competent and knowledgeable.loved the welcoming drink in lobby...Nice touch
