A bit rundown but the single beds comfortable and I had a good sleep. Rooms are small and it was quite uncomfortable to move around. The male manager was a tad impatient when I asked for more shopping information. A minus for hospitality.

10 min walk from the Helsinki Central Train Station to the main shopping street. A few steps down a gentle slope to the tram stop and University of Helsinki Metro station. I would consider staying here again if I could not get somewhere better. However, I would pay for a bigger room.

It's quite hard to say. Hotel meets fully the expectations you get by looking at 3 star hotel. The only downside some people may mention, it's quite old building hotel and some facilities are in the process of renovation but I didn't mind this to be honest

Really happy with our experience at Hotel Arthur. The hotel's location was perfect for us, wanting to get out and explore central Helsinki. The staff were very friendly, and we were pleased when they let us check in early. The building and rooms are a little run down and showing signs of their age, but everything was working and comfortable. Our room was clean,well heated, and the beds were fresh. The bathroom was perfectly adequate too, nice hot shower with great pressure. The included breakfast buffet downstairs was amazing with an impressive variety of nice food and was a great start to a busy day of exploring/activities. Overall Hotel Arthur was great value for money and a good experience.

The room is a bit out of date. And on my second stay the hairdryer in the room is not functioning well, since it didn't serve hot wind, only weak warm one, which for sure cannot dry the hair.

First of all, the location is really good, very close to the central train station, only around 10 minutes walk. Second, all the staff are nice and helpful, they even offer coffee for us when we arrived very early in the morning and still far away earlier than the check-in hour. Third, breakfast is awesome. I booked one night for myself at first, and then one night for me and my friend one week later. I found the breakfast sooooo good, so the next week when me and my friend came early in the morning, and we only have one breakfast included for the next morning, I recommended her to pay and eat there. The price is also reasonable for 15 euros per person. I really love the handmade yogurt there.

I didn't like having to ask at desk for daily coffee/tea supplies, and was given just one coffee packet.

I was given a larger comfortable room, but sadly I was only staying one night. Location is excellent, a short walk to main station and city centre.

Having to ask for tea and coffee for the room as only Kettle in room. No shower door only curtain so floor gets very wet.

Not great sound-proofing, dated bathroom

The hotel was a good base for an evening, but it's quite dated, especially the bathroom. There was quite a lot of noise up and down the hallway with people coming and going all evening so it was hard to sleep. Location was good, near the main station.

The beds could have been a bit more comfortable and outlets could have been available next to every bed. The renovations going on at the hotel could not be helped but the old lifts were slightly awkward to use from the off.

The hotel was in a perfect location for arriving to Helsinki from the airport using the train. The room was ideal for our group offering a lot of space and all the amenities we required. The main hot spots of Helsinki were very close to the hotel also. Even though the hotel was going through renovations, it exceeded expectations.

The location of the hotel is next to everything! The staff were great and even let us to do an early check in! The rooms could use some renovation but overall they were okay! The bathroom could be better because water is spilled everywhere. Breakfast had everything you need and it was really nice!
