How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

It’s hard to say as I was there for less then 24 hours
Location was great , not too far from the airport. Very central . I didn’t have the breakfast had to leave early to the airport.

The room was average and there was a bit of a smell in the bathroom, also we could not control the air conditioning, the dial on the wall made little or no difference.
An excellent location, right beside the central train station which is in the main square in Helsinki and also beside the fantastic Oodi library.

Our room was a bit dark Would have liked a more modern smart TV that we could have used our Netflix account on.
Breakfast was good, although eggs not great.

There was nothing- all good.
The location next to the station was excellent and very convenient for the library the art gallery and the concert hall as well as other public transport. Food was good, rooms were clean and comfortable, the bar was open till late with a most delightful woman serving. Staff were pleasant and went out of their way to be helpful. They sold the Helsinki card at reception.

I would have liked to stay longer!
The hotel is right next to the central train station in Helsinki. So if you take a train from the airport, you walk about 100 metres from the train to the hotel entrance. It is also only about 1 km from the main tourist sights like the Helsinki Cathedral. The breakfast is amazing! It was seriously difficult to choose what to eat and what to skip. The wifi was good, and the rooms were comfortable. And...the hotel had a sauna that was open in the evenings and was free to use. It was clean and cozy and a wonderful experience. There is also a gym, which I didn't use, so I can't comment on that. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

too slippery while walking to the hotel with big lugguges in winter.
very close to the central station, supermarket, restaurant and attractions, as well as Metro station, bus stations and tram station. If you arrive Oslo central station, you can go out of the side gate next to Platform 18, then turn right and walk 29 meters. The hotel is just on the right side. Very easy to find it.

Perfect location next to Central Railway Station. Holiday Inn is easy to find when you get off a long distance train and easy to get a train to the airport in the morning. Lots of shopping in the area.

Everything. next door from main railway station (direct train transfer to the airport) as well as bus terminus. At the heart of the city - walking distance to most major attractions. Room was of decent size and comfy. big shower cabin, fast wifi. Excellent food choice for breakfast

The staff are very friendly and helpful. We left our luggage in the storage room before we checked in as we reached early morning. Also, we got an early check-in and that helped a lot. The hotel is very close to the train station and all the other attractions in the city. We’d like to stay here again next time.

Honestly, no thing that I did not like.
The location is in the city centre and close to all the shopping malls and restaurants. Breakfast was great and a very welcoming reception staff.

The windows cannot be opened. It is best not to charge for late check-out.

Great location as it is closed to the Helsinki train station. The shopping area were only walking distance away or you could hop on the train to anywhere. Breakfast was good and the staffs were helpful too.

Nothing to mention. All was perfect
Location of the hotel was perfect near the train station, shops and center of Helsinki. Breakfast was excellent. There's also a sauna.
