How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Nothing worth mentioning, its pretty far from Mariehamn if you do not have your own vehicle.
Pretty good location, with nature all around. The cottage was clean and comfortable with lot of space to move around. Resort also has various facilities for outdoor activities.

The price for night in booking is not correct, additional is required cleaning fee 60 EUR, later in @. Its not good practice.
Breakfast for 11 eur is perfect.

A bit stuffy when it’s hot outside
Clean, spacious bungalows with a nice terrace on a fair distance from neighbours. Bungalows are well equipped with kitchenware.

When there is no air conditioner, it is difficult to leave the windows open - it is very hot to sleep. There are no latches for the position of the window (the wind can break the window) and there is no mosquito net.
A complete kottage with all the amenities. Very good opportunities for recreation and entertainment, including beach, pool, pleasure boats and more ...

Overwhelmingly expensive compared to the size of the cottage. Did not exoect that. In the room services, some basic amenities were missed, e.g., hand paper, soap. The toilet comod was really funny as it has been put in a very awkward way. The tv was very tiny. AC was sometimes not working properly. The pillows were unuseable for a nice comfortable sleep at night which was really important for us after a hectic day. The doors of the rooms were not well. The phone number they gave us for the contact, unfortunately was not working.
The nature is quite beautiful. The staffs at the information desk was really friendly.

If you prefer self-catering, then make sure to pack some groceries as shops are few and at a distance.
Great resort that organises some sports challenges throughout the year. The bungalow where we stayed was very comfortable, well equipped and perfect for our family of 4. It is only a 15 min. walk from the Grisslehamn - Eckerö ferry.

The cabin was not of the standing you would expect for this kind of price. The beds were extremely uncomfortable. It is baffling that you are expected to do your own cleaning of the place when you check out. The cabin was very far from the resort and the shore: 850m is not so enjoyable to do regularly with a stroller and a woman in her third trimester of pregnancy. The staff also misled us to go to the Eckerö ferry terminal bus station 2.5km away instead of using the bus station exceptionally available at the Käringsund Resort that they apparently did not know of and they did not even apologize for it. A nearby indoor play center (Leklandet) was advertised on the resort map we were given and we decided to try it out one morning as it was indicated a short distance from the resort. Unfortunately this was also misleading as Leklandet had moved to Mariehamn this summer and we had wasted our time. The view from the cabin was disappointing considering the great location of the resort, we could see trees and the camping behind them. It is also somewhat disappointing that a child-friendly place did not have diapers for sale (and the closest grocery store is 12.5km away).
The location is very charming and the facilities are superb for children. The breakfast was decent. The staff has been helpful at times. The cabin was sufficiently equipped to make your own meals and was rather big. The prices at the resort (for food and activities) were very reasonable. A lot of fun activities for the whole family is available.

Cabin was too hot, no air condition and small windows were not helping. Not recommending in hot months.

The bio-bucket was broken. Just noticed as we were leaving and the fluid was on the bottom of the cupboard. The extra-activities were quite expensive.
Lovely spot at the sea! The bungalow with sauna was great. No air-conditioning, but bedrooms were not too warm. Restaurants was great. Personal was very helpful and friendly.
