Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

We loved the cleanliness of the room and the complimentary upgrade to a larger suite. The staff were friendly and helpful and provided us with maps and suggested spots to visit in the surrounding area. We would definitely stay at Hotel des Arts Montmartre again on our next visit to Paris

GermanyI genuinely cannot think of anything I disliked. Maybe my room (34)was a bit dark overlooking the back of the building, and the bathroom was quite small, but I saw there were plenty of other rooms with nice views and bigger bathrooms. I would have liked the hotel to have had the licence to serve me a gin and tonic, but there were plenty of bars nearby.
All the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. I have stayed in many hotels over the years but I have never come across such wonderful service. When I made a mix up over my checkout date they sorted everything out for me, in the kindest possible way, and did not charge me for my late check out mistake. The hotel itself was lovely with very good quality rooms and very pleasant reception/bar area. I particularly liked their system for helping yourself to free still or fizzy water whenever you wanted and the lovely honesty bar for beers and wines. The location could not be better, right in the centre of Montmatre ,with all the shops and restaurants you could wish, but in a very quiet location. Sacre Couer and Moulin Rouge both within walking distance - so all tastes catered for!

United KingdomThese are only minor details, the shower/tub didn’t have any grips so it felt a bit slippy getting in and out of the tub. Also the a/c wouldn’t hold a consistent temperature, I would set it to 20 to sleep and would wake up with it at 22.
The hotel felt very welcoming and warm but offered an exceptional standard. They have personalised maps for recommended activities and food recommendations which was extremely helpful. You can tell all the staff really care about their jobs. Would recommend this to anyone.

Really enjoyed our stay in Hôtel det Arts. From check in to check out we couldn’t fault anything. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, also spoke fluent English which helped, and they looked after us with nice touches like macrons in our bedroom and great local recommendations. The room was very clean and comfortable and we slept well. We didn’t have breakfast or the cheese & wine evenings (Friday & Saturday) but both looked excellent and good value for money. Would do both if we stayed again. Great location too with lots of cafes and restaurants nearby and only 10-15mins from Metro and Sacré-Cœur. Definitely recommend and will stay here again.
