This is a beautiful hotel. We had a large, spotlessly clean room. The staff were friendly and helpful, the food was amazing. The hotel has secure parking. We will definitely come back!! We traveled with our two dogs who were welcomed into the hotel and the restaurant. Coulon itself is fantastic for dogs.

Cosy atmosphere, friendly staff, comfortable room and good food. Our third visit. This time we came in December and stayed in room 23 which is a garden annexe room. It was lovely and warm despite freezing temperatures outside. In summer the air conditioning was very welcome and effective.

We had a one night stay as a stopover en route for the south of France. However we were fascinated by the Marais Poitevin, and the hotel is an excellent base to explore it, so we hope to be back. The room was spacious and comfortable with all necessary extras, and evening meal a real surprise with gourmet cooking but still really good value. Thoroughly recommended. We hope to come back to the area in the future for a longer stay and will book into this hotel if there is a space.

By mistake, the hotel had booked us in for the following day, but, after checking for other accommodation in Coulon, they put us up in a lovely room in their own nearby house. They couldn’t have done more to make up for their mistake. Full marks for concern for their guests. And a fabulous breakfast the next morning!

Noise from other rooms was a bit of a problem.

Good central location in a lovely town. We were in a garden room which was modern and had a great big bed bath etc. Plus Garden seating.

No complaints at all. If I was to be super super extra picky, maybe seal the walls a little better in our room next to the breakfast room. Little pieces occasionally flake off the wall and land on the bed. Easy to achieve when the owners find time.

very helpful staff, superb breakfast and wonderful location. there is nothing to dislike about Le Central - have been here a few times and would highly recommend it. restaurant closed Monday PM - beware! There are however other places to eat within a stones throw.

Restaurant was unfortunately closed and we had specifically chosen it for the restaurant. However, they recommended a restaurant locally which was very good, so no inconvenience caused.

Very convenient room with access to back patio and car park. Excellent standard, very clean and very helpful staff. Excellent breakfast and a very pleasant stay. Highly recommended.

No hooks to hang wet towels. Plug for kettle was not long enough so had to put the kettle on the floor to use it.And the restaurant was closed. The rubber undersheet was not comfortable.

Do be aware that you have to use free local parking, but we had no problems and that on a busy holiday weekend.

Friendly helpful welcome in a lovely small town. Good room, well appointed, quiet and comfortable. Hotel decor is cool and tasteful. Restaurant not inexpensive but the meal was as good as any we've had in France - enough said! Good buffet breakfast, French style.

The hotel is in the middle of a lovely picturesque village. Welcomed by very helpful Receptionist. The room was very clean. My husband had a sore knee and was tired after a day of driving so the restaurant staff served us dinner in our room. The food and presentation was amazing. Very grateful to the staff for making that happen. Breakfast was typical French, but that suited us perfectly. Free secure parking at tenacity of the hotel was a bonus. We were also allowed to have our dog stay which we appreciate greatly.
