Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

EstoniaThe rooms are quite small, there is not much room to move around with bags and suitcases. No slippers. Poor sound insulation from the street. The cleaning lady came every day, but the bed and towels were normally changed once (we lived there for 5 nights). First, she replaced the clean duvet cover with a dirty one. Then for 2 days housemaid just folded our used towels on the table and forgot to give a bath mat. I have never seen such a “service” before. I really didn’t like the increased taxes on tourists. Initially, booking.com showed us 3€ per night per person, as a result we paid 8€ per person. The hotel also takes a deposit of 150€, that will be returned after you check out. My mastercard didn’t work properly (even though I successfully paid taxes by it before), so I had to use a credit card. The metro stations located near us were not working for most of our stay. We had to take the RER train (15 min walk). The city center is quite far away, it took us at least 45 minutes to get there. The district was not the most favorable. There are a lot of beggars and strange personalities who seem to have never seen fair-haired girls... I didn’t dare go out in the evening without my man.
I really liked the interior of the hotel. We booked Duo-Pop room. The elements are chosen wisely and the numerous lights undoubtedly add specific charm. The room has a kettle, hairdryer, soap, napkins, shampoo and shower gel. The bed is large and comfortable, there were no bedbugs. There is an ironing room on the fifth floor with 3 sets of irons. Nice hearty breakfast. Also, there are several good grocery stores around the hotel.

United KingdomBar prices were a little high especially for wine.
Nicely decorated, clean and nice staff. Location- just outside of Paris but underground right by hotel. There are shops and restaurants near by. We travels around via the underground ( this is within areas 1-3, we got a three day pass for €30 each and well worth it, it also includes bus and tram use) use stop Porte de la Villette on the pink line. Safety- we felt safe no issues at all. Clean- spotless. Cost- about €98 a night. Don’t forget you will have to pay about €24 each for the Paris traveler tax in cash upon arrival. Tip- The hotel does have free luggage lockers to use if you arrive before check in like we did.

United KingdomThere was a strange beeping sound coming from the room but after a while I got used to it and couldn’t really notice it
There was many activities to do which caught me by surprise but I enjoyed it a lot (Snooker, Ping Pong& Football Table). The decor of both the room and hotel were amazing, many different food options within 10 minute walk from hotel. Peaceful at night

United KingdomThe aircon/heater was not working. The location of the hotel is not good, situated in a very sketchy area. Would not recommend venturing outside after it gets dark. Staff was ok, kinda pissed off whenever you asked them something but I experienced that all over in Paris.
Spacious, clean room.

United KingdomRooms slightly on the small size and we are fairly small ourselves. Not alot of storage we only had a our 10kg cabin cases. No drawers and little hanging space.
Location was next to the metro station. Check in was straight forward no issues. Some nice little spots around the hotel including the park, canal and plenty of eateries to choose from. Breakfast was decent and you could help yourself to whatever you fancied. Lifts were plentiful and worked well with speed. Gym facilities available even though we didn't use them.

United KingdomIt was quite far into the centre of Paris but I think this is reflected in the price
The property was well maintained and nicely decorated. There was a metro stop located very closely to the hotel. The hotel decorated our room for my mums 60th. I had read a lot of negative views about the homeless people around the hotel and we didn’t find this to be an issue.

United KingdomNothing really.
We loved it. Our sextet room was fabulous, with it being split into two separate rooms. Breakfast was decent, your usual cold items but with hot items such as scrambles egg, bacon, and beans. The half board option was good in the adjacent restaurant, although we were limited to one of the set menus and so you don't have a huge amount of choice. As for the other reviews about the area, we found it absolutely fine. A couple of homeless people but nothing worse than anywhere else, and the metro was literally a 30 second walk. We'd definitely stay here again. Free table tennis, table football, and pool too.
