Great good size room with comfy bed. Located five minutes from the train station

I asked for a quiet room and unfortunately, due to low availability, I had a room overlooking the road. I think the traffic was slightly busier than usual because the adjacent road was closed for repairs and the Royal Mail trucks stated passing underneath my window, very early in the morning. Be aware that the guest house is close to the main train station and the football ground too. Also unknown to me, Take That were playing at Carrow Road, which might be a good thing for some of you but not me! :-)

I was pleasantly surprised by the Abbey Guest House and the host. My single room with a shared bathroom was fine. It was small but had everything I needed for a one-night stay. I didn't realise (or had forgotten) that breakfast was available. For £7 the lady cooked a fabulous breakfast plus cereals and tea; I was most impressed.

Eventually the bathroom will need some attention as the sealant looks a bit worn out, but that is being super picky.

Warm welcome, soft comfy bed, big room! Scrupulously clean and good double glazing keeps street noise out effectively. Free street parking. For the money this is an excellent choice. Not a romantic posh hotel (if that's what you want) bit this is a very well run b&b. I felt very safe and comfortable on my own.

We had a lovely welcome and great communication, rooms were great with air conditioning also a parking permit provided,we also enjoyed a lovely freshly cooked breakfast in the morning with a friendly welcoming atmosphere from start to finish lovely owners great location will stay again.

Nothing not to like, I took the cheaper shared bathroom option, which was fine. The room had a hand basin.

The reading lamp over the bed was better than any I’ve ever used. There are no net curtains in the dining room/lounge so it is light and bright inside. Vivian, the owner, felt as welcoming and hospitable as a friend.

The beds are a little old, but it's a minor point - I still slept fine. Room is small, but again a minor criticism considering I really only needed a room to sleep in.

I always have a good stay at the Abbey Guesthouse. It's a basic guesthouse, but super clean and the welcome is friendly and genuine which I really appreciate. It's perfect being so close to the train station and always quiet during the night. Shared facilities are small but more than adequate for a night or two.

Sinks were a little small to use, but sensibly sized for the space available.

I liked everything.

Professional, welcoming hosts who helped me carry my luggage upstairs. Exceptionally clean, warm and comfortable. The breakfast was enormous and tasty, and you only pay £7.00 extra for this. I will certainly stay here again. A little jewel near the railway station in Norwich.

I have nothing negative to say!

Really lovely and well kept place, with very helpful and friendly owners which give it a homely feel. I didn't take breakfast there but the dining area looked nice as well. I had booked the single ensuite room and was very pleasantly surprised with the size and furnishings - two chairs by the window and a desk beside the TV, and it still felt spacious and yet cosy in a good way. Excellent stay, will choose Abbey Guest House again in future.
