Reception and common areas are basically non-existent, so it is just a staircase and rooms, but the rooms are fine.

Good location in nice street. My bedroom was large , warm and comfortable. Good bathroom with strong shower.

The stairs were tough going (we were on the third floor without an elevator) but, honestly, what do you want for the money?!

Superb location, good facilities and just an overall great little hotel for the money. We were attending a show at the Royal Albert Hall and honestly couldn’t have asked for a more convenient or comfortable place to stay.

The room walls are paper thin unfortunately. So you can be talking in your room and someone outside in the corridor can hear what you are saying.

The facilities are a bit basic (no breakfast facilities; 1 set of lights in my room didn’t work; and the shower had absolutely no pressure) and very ‘tired’.

The location is fantastic for the Natural History Museum and the Royal Albert Hall

Only one glass and one tiny cup for tea provided, when there were 2 of us. Would've preferred a mug and one each, also some biscuits as no breakfast yet available 😉 Radiator pipes were banging in the night, cracked glass in window and vents had tape on them, hoping this is fixed on the current upgrades, but it wasn't winter so was OK temperature in the room and for the price and location it was OK by us.

Location was perfect for us, <10min walk to Albert Hall and <5min to lots of bars and pubs for food. Hotel is a work in progress upgrading from hostel to a hotel but we knew that on booking. So no surprises and a lovely door out to a balcony to let some much needed sunny spring air in (room 13 and we didn't care one bit). Kettle and tea/coffee and towels provided. Bed nice and clean and comfy, bathroom super clean and shower hot and fast. Looking forward to coming again and having breakfast there when works are complete. The building is lovely and the manager friendly and welcoming. We were 2 lone women on a birthday treat in London and it felt safe and cosy, thanks x

Too many stairs to get to the room. Not good when you have children with you or any disabilities where climbing lots stairs is an issue No mattress topper No fitted bed sheet Duvet too small for the double bed when 2 people are sleeping in it. Only 2 beds for 3 people (luckily one was my young son so wasn't too much bother) No bin in room, only a bathroom bin Room too hot. The heating was on when we arrived and we had to turn it off, then it came on automatically in the morning again. Luckily fans were provided. No breakfast offered (was stated in description so we knew this beforehand however for future guests a breakfast might be a bonus)

Great location Good sized family room Comfortable bed Tea/coffee facilities Cheaply priced for the area Free toiletries/towels to use (didn't use but nice touch) Good selection of channels on TV

There is building work currently going on so there were some paint fumes but the guy on the desk apologised. The window was open in the room, which helped as the smell was quite potent. There was a balcony and opening which people shouldn't use, but I guess people could step out and walk along to different rooms as it went along the length of the property; this was slightly unnerving. The bathroom bin hadn't been emptied, which wasn't so pleasant as it was 3/4 full of someone else's plasters and other yukky stuff. Not good. :( There was just one tea bag. I could have used two. I was too lazy to ask, but I am sure that the friendly reception guy would have helped if necessary. I didn't report it as no one asked me about how my stay was. The most annoying thing was someone playing video games or watching something rather loudly until around 1 am. I was still awake but it would have got on my nerves if I'd wanted to sleep. I think the sound was coming from above; I was in room 12. I also didn't like Arthur Conan Doyle staring creepily out from the window next door! ;)

The location was perfect for visiting the museums and for a concert at the Royal Albert Hall; it took around 15 mins to walk. I felt safe as a solo female traveller. Big TV. Kettle. Large shower cubicle in the newly renovated bathroom with generic toiletries. Wifi code on the noticeboard in the corridor. At first, I thought the room was a bit dark and dingy, but with the bedside lights, it wasn't. I would stay here again for location and value for money. Nice coffee place/bakery round the corner (Urban Baristas). More than I would usually pay, but the Eggs Benedict was nice, and I think good for London prices.

    Nothing really

The hotel was OK. It is obviously in need of TLC although some improvements have been done. The staff were fine. The location for us was good as we went to a concert at the RAH. Plenty of places to eat nearby but London prices.

On entry to the hotel, we were met by construction as a room appeared to be undergoing refurbishment. The reception area was run down and not very clean looking. As we climbed the stairs they appeared stained and dirty. The shower and bathroom taps took a while to heat up though. I don't think we would revisit this hotel.

The room in itself was tidy and looked new. Comfortable.

Property is under refurbishment so some areas still need to be addressed odd drain smell in shower cubicle but as soon as trap was filled with water it went.

Location is excellent. Room was on 2nd floor and was nice and comfortable and very clean pretty sure it has just been refurbished. Toiletries were supplied towels and bedding like new. Tea and coffee making available in room also large Smart TV. No breakfast was available as the hotel dinning room is under refurbishment. Pleasant stay would stay again

There's subway quite significantly heard every few minutes however we were tired and slept well.

Acacia Hotel got closed for some maintenance prior to our arrival. The hotel managed to provide another accommodation in the same area which was critical for us. Room was big and had 3 beds for 4 of us. Breakfast was fair.

Awesome location and nice and clean room and bathroom, the team are obviously bringing this ex hostel up to scratch as a hotel with lots of new elements to the rooms.
