Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

As I am celiac, Gina very kindly provided gluten free snacks for me, as well as a lovely loaf of bread. There was also milk, butter, orange juice and yoghurts in the fridge. Plenty of tea, coffee, jams and spreads. I couldn’t have asked for more. Plenty of lovely towels & toiletries. As I am 6ft 5” it was great to see such a nice big bed and a great little TV with good WiFi. I really enjoyed having the table and chairs for meals, as well as the fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, crockery, cutlery & hair dryer. Thank you.

Lovely room, which felt like a mini one bedroom flat as it contains all you need to be independent and cosy. Very clean, bed very comfy, quiet room and warm welcome from the owners :) Good breakfast. They even gave me a lift to my gig (I am a singer).

United KingdomThere was nothing not to like. Perhaps name on property may have helped. 6.30 pm check in may be a bit late if using theatre near railway station but I expect this could be negotiated.
This home run B&B is a manageable 30minute walk from the railway station and only 10-15 minutes to G Live theatre, very close to the main high street in Guildford. The room was light and airy, self contained with very comfy double bed, table and chair for a substantial self made breakfast. A fridge is available in the room as well as a microwave, even a tin opener. Supplied is bread, milk, juice, croissants cereals, selection of spreads and a toaster. and kettle. There is sufficient to snack if hungry on arrival! Friendly staff. Seats outside property if you arrive before check in 6.30pm.

United KingdomThe hosts were very friendly and more than accommodating. Gina made sure I had plenty of food and would regularly bring extra refreshments and check on me. I could also have guests over with no additional charge which was very kind. The room was spacious and had a calm aura. As soon I walked in, I felt relaxed and after a long day it was a lovely feeling to come home to. The dining table was a great addition to the room. I happily ate tea and did work with plenty of space to do so. The adjacent private bathroom was perfect. It had a great shower and bath. I preferred having the toilet and my room separate as it meant my room was more spacious. A nice feature was my room looked out onto the garden. The flowers were really pretty and made the room feel more open. I couldn't have asked for more. I loved my time here and would happily return if ever in Guildford. I highly recommend this B&B!!

Received a warm welcome from the owners who gave us tips on local area and restaurants.Arrived a bit earlier than the 18.30 check in time and allowed us to leave our luggage in room whilst they finished preparing room. Great location being being a 5 minute stroll to the high street with all the shops and restaurants. Great location if visiting GSA as local bus takes you straight there. Items provided to make your own breakfast ( bread,,jams, yoghurts, cereals, milk and fresh apple juice which suited us as vegetarian. The addition of some fresh fruit and porridge sachets would be nice as a suggestion for future. Flexible on departure time which was appreciated. Would definetly return in the future and ecommend

United KingdomGina was the perfect host, absolutely nothing to complain about. The area was nice and quiet, but close enough to walk to all the shops you would need. I stayed in two different rooms booked one week after the other, both were a good size with comfortable beds and a view of the garden. A nice selection of breakfast items were left in the room, including biscuits, jam, waffles, yogurt and bread with a toaster. Would definitely stay here again if I was ever back in the area.
