The Boxmoor Lodge use to have a bar but unfortunately due to Covid nolonger available. It is a shame.

Large room. Good continental breakfast included in price. Plenty of parking onsite. Walking distance to station for train into London.

Room was a little outdated.

Breakfast was very nice. They had fresh pastries out and cooked breakfasts were made to order at an extra cost. Staff were very friendly.

There was nothing really bad about my stay, but the room was excessively hot (we just turned the radiator off). I would have liked a bath and this was stated in the picture when I booked, but instead got a shower, which was really really small. Having a kid with me the bath would have been nice as she hates showers. I didn't realise until I got to the room and as the owner came another offsite property up the road in the pouring rain to hand me the key, I felt bad asking her to come back so I could switch rooms. The rooms are quite outdated in terms of furniture and decor, particularly the bathroom, although clean and functional In my room (room 7) the toilet was weirdly placed right behind the door so if anyone is on the toilet and the door opens it whacks you in the face! As there are no food/drink options on site (I called out for Deliveroo), it would be nice to maybe have a fridge in the room to keep milk/water in

Great location for Harry Potter World and while it doesn't offer food there was a Harvester a few minutes walk away. There is also a restaurant/pub on the river I was told, but as it was raining, we opted for the Harvester. The room was very clean, with plenty of space and most of the things you need (shower gel, shampoo, lots of loo rolls etc) The continental breakfast includes toast and was plentiful (fresh croissants, muffins, compote/youghurt, boxed cereals, bananas etc), but for a modest additional £7/£8 you can have a cooked breakfast which was ruddy lovely. As a vegetarian I was impressed with mine as included grilled halloumi and vegetarian sausage (and choice of how you want your egg done). Good-quality food cooked really well

The radiator in the en-suite was so hot that we did not need heating in the room. However it stayed on all night so we were a bit too hot in bed!

A couple of hand towels were looking a little frayed but perfectly clean. It would have been nice if there had been a bar and restaurant so one didn't have to drive to get dinner and a drink but can understand the reasons for not offering this in today's climate.

The room was excellent, warm, lovely under floor heating in the bathroom. The breakfast was good, the staff lovely. Excellent value for money. Good parking. Ideal location for visiting our family.

Use to live locally and used the Boxmoor Lodge restaurant regularly. Standard still as good and staff very friendly. Recommend others to use if your happy with B&B which incudes breakfast

Ground floor room this time was nice and spacious easy to park and near the station.

Beds were a little uncomfortable. Included Breakfast was continental and if you wanted a cooked breakfast it was extra. Continental was nice with lots of choice but it wasn't clear at time of booking.

Nice individual rooms with front doors to the well kept gardens. Looked very pretty on arrival. Rooms were quite warm and had underfloor heating in the bathrooms. Very clean.

Nice little place. I really liked the rooms, authentic old town atmosphere. Smells like beachfront which i felt like Mediterranean city. Clean rooms.
