It absolutely didn’t affect our stay, but a few fixtures and fitting needed updating, like the lights. However, we could see that the hotel is slowly being renovated, and appreciate that they can’t do everything at once.

All the staff were really lovely and couldn’t do enough for us. The beds were comfy. Everywhere was really clean and tidy. Bonus was the food, absolutely delicious, both the 3 courses at dinner and the buffet breakfast in the morning. Hats off to the chef Jamie, who had just done meals for a whole coach tour, and still managed to get our meals done in a reasonable time.

Needs updating in places especially the balcony. TV not great because of signal but that could be location. Dinner menu restricted and doesn’t change.

We tried to call about getting some more pillows and there was no answer. There was no lock on the bathroom door and the shower head needs a descale.

The price that we paid was really good, the breakfast had plenty to choose from, there was plenty of car parking spaces and the view from the bedroom was lovely.

Communication - staff to not take for granted that guests know check out time or last orders for desserts etc. Otherwise, all good - appreciate that staff are working hard to pls their customers.

Breakfast was disappointing. Shame there was a television in one section of the bar.

Waiting 1hr and 20 minutes to check in. And when we did manage to check in no apology for the wait. Also whilst waiting in the bar 10 minutes waiting to be served. And at breakfast waiting for fried eggs that had all gone to come gave up in the end and went without .

Room location. Ground floor in future.

No lunch provision on Sunday due to 60 wedding party. Booking com selected me opposite room to request whereby I was above wedding party room with loud music until midnight. Affected sleep. I requested lake room end.

The menu is always the same,it’s about time it was updated people don’t want to eat the same food when they are for a couple of nights,more choices would be nice,I’m coming back in November would be nice to see a new menu

Service at dinner was a bit hap hazard. My dinner was served without fries, even though it was on menu, soon rectified. Waited a long time for drinks order. One bed in room 52 was awful, springs have gone. My husband, who is disabled, said it was the worst bed he had ever slept in.

loved location !. staff very helpful and pleasant esp Chelsea, Debbie and Jay ! thank you 😊. rooms were nice and clean , balcony bit shabby . food was nice , breakfast excellent choice , we were allowed to take our buffet breakfast into bar area , and our dog was allowed in there . dog friendly . no litter bins around though , only cigarette dispensers x would return . good value for money .

Not well cleaned. Breakfast okay. Busy but then bank holiday. Lift not working.

The hotel itself though clean was tired,eg our bathroom door did not fit the doorway having warped. In the morning the coffee at breakfast was undrinkable, being weak and hardly brown. On complaining they put it through the filter again, only making it bitter. Though management was informed the next morning though stronger the coffee was still disgusting.

The location is quiet and peaceful. It's conveniently placed to get to places of interest.
