The fact that when we booked in we asked if there was a restauarant at the hotel but the room near the conceirges desk isn't a full restaurant it's merely a glorified cake shop. We should have just been told to book a proper restaurant outside of the hotel.

Both Alexis and Rene were brilliant in trying their best to meet all our needs and look after us. The thoughtfulness, attention to detail and care shown was exceptional. You should be proud of them. From the cleaning staff, doormen, to bar tenders, conceirge and front desk the staff were delightful and really wanted to make our stay wonderful.

We visited this hotel on New Year’s Day and the experience from start to finish was truly remarkable everything was absolutely faultless. As we drove up to the hotel we had our bags taken out of the boot of our car and taken up to our room , the car was then taken and parked in a secure location. On arrival my two children were given a complimentary teddy bear which we loved. As we were checking in we were told that we have received a room upgrade which was truly amazing : the room was spectacular , the view was breath taking and as the lights were still up it made the view even more beautiful. We went swimming on the Saturday and Sunday which was in a heated kids pool which was amazing. We also took the children to the kids club when we arrived on Saturday where they were making slime which was absolutely fantastic the kids absolutely loved it and the lady running it couldn’t of been more lovely and really went out of her way to make sure the kids and adults were enjoying it which we all really did. So if you go as a family please go and check out the kids club as I didn’t even know about it until we were checking in as I couldn’t see any reviews about the kids club prior to our visit but honestly it’s so fantastic. They have the room set up with video games and colouring and normal board games etc so something to suit all ages. Really really amazing!! All of the staff are so polite and friendly and can’t do enough to help you. We opted to have breakfast in our room on the Sunday and the gentleman who bought it up set all of the table up for us and laid all of our breakfast down beautifully. Absolutely remarkable from start to finish, if only all hotels were like this one. We have enjoyed it so Much that we are going to make it our yearly tradition now on New Year’s Day with the kids.

We come to London every year for Christmas shopping and have stayed at the Cafe Royal a few times now. You cannot beat the location, right on Regents Street. The hotel is absolutely stunning and everything is perfect. My only disappointment this year was that the Christmas Tree hadn’t been put up yet.
