"Small double" is exceedingly small. Barely enough room to pass the foot of the bed to get to the bathroom. This isnt helped by the positioning of the TV on the wall. Layout of room might benefit from a re-think. Quite expensive for what it is but then- it is Edinburgh city centre

Convenient location, clean, simple check in/out, quiet street, fresh modern decor

    Nothing.

Comfortable room in a quiet location but easy to walk into city or get a bus at top of road to almost any area. Close to some good cafes and restaurants and tram stop.Very comfortable bed and quilt not too thick. Great shower. Will return.Thank you

Windows can't be opened, no air conditioning, no fridge. 18£/night only "private" (though it's a hotel owned) parking option with no direct access to a hotel.

Firstly comes good location with the access to a city centre (walking, bus, tram) and nearby shopping facilities. Then it's the old style high ceilings, adequate continental breakfast, friendly staff.

Only thing I can imagine that would improve the room would be to have a couple of comfy chairs.

Easy check in procedure, our room was located in a seperate building opposite reception which was very easy to reach. Room, bathroom and kitchenette immaculately clean and bed very comfortable with plenty pillows and toiletries.

Although the booking said parking was available at the hotel it is very limited and also chargeable. I asked to reserve a space but was told that reservation is not possible however a discount is given at a nearby parking facility.

The hotel is in a fabulous position, at bottom of princes Street and top of leith walk and right beside the Edinburgh Playhouse. It's clean, lovely staff and very comfortable providing all that's needed for a long or short stay.

The bar and kitchen area in the loft was a little boring and not very welcoming to use. However, the bedrooms were nice so most time was spent there.

The excellent location was one of the reasons why I chose the hotel and I was not disappointed. For a family of 4 it was good size and the stairs to the loft was not an issue as I already had read about it. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom very good.

We arrived from Europe. Hotel doesn't have European plugs for lending. They only had it for sale, that is not very convenient when you need it only for several days.

Just a couple of small niggles: the room was extremely warm yet the radiator wasn't on so we couldn't turn the heating down. I would have preferred a double bed, rather than two singles pushed together. We didn't initially book breakfast, but changed our minds on arrival - unfortunately the breakfast was disappointing, given the standard of the rest of the hotel.

The staff were friendly and very helpful. Overall, the hotel provided a very comfortable stay.

A small suggestion -- The position of the heater in the room was far from the bed. Since the bed was beside the window so it was pretty cold during the night especially. Also, if there is another shed can be placed in front of the window that can minimize the cold I believe.

I liked the room, view, cleanliness and overall service. The staff were very very supportive. The location was very peaceful and convenient to move around.
