See above and the self check in system is not the best. Really does require improvement. Staff were indifferent about helping with this and when they saw myself and a colleague struggling, didn’t advance the point of doing it for us. I had to ask them to check me in. Also- Audi Estate parked in disabled bays- I think this was a member of staff- staff need to lead by example and not park in disabled.

I liked the new mattress. The fit out was ok- a lot more needs doing to bring the fit out standard up. Mastic missing behind architrave near to shower, shower heads are a bit too high- not great for sustainability as it requires the shower water temp to be hotter as it cools a lot when dropping further. Ideal to lower shower heads. No sockets near the beds- not ideal for phone charging etc.

Had dinner there which was just o.k. My risotto a bit oily, stodgy. Breakfast although an hour before end had to ask for cups. Not much fresh fruit for breakfast. No eggs left.

Hotel is being refurbished, no notification before hand as I would probably have chosen not to stay. The lift was out of order. The shower was scalding hot, when I tried to reduce the temperature the end of the tap came off..

The leather seat at our breakfast table could have been cleaned, it was very marked which could have been attended to.

The hotel is undergoing a renovation. We were out in a very dated room which had a very strange smell. The carpet didn’t look clean. I understand the rooms are being updated but £110 is over priced for what we had. I’ve had a lot better for the money.

Check in/out didn’t work and staff weren’t especially welcoming replacement. In the morning just directed to the iPads which were all logged out. Lights didn’t work in the room. Lift out of order. Mould in the bathroom sealant. Renovations happening on our floor so looked like renovation site (not told this at booking).

Bar drinks are very expensive, double gin and draft lemonade is £10-00. This hotel only takes card payments no cash at all and hidden charges like paying to park car in the hotel car park. They also automatically add a service charge to drinks and food orders. The hotel was very noisy through the night with people coming back in high spirits running down the corridors and slamming doors.

Friendly staff and room was very nice we were given a free upgrade. Thank you.

our shower did not work properly and was a dribble with no heat. they came to fix it but couldn't so offered an adjacent bathoom and discount.
