We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United KingdomThe view from our room was over the back alley so not very pleasant. However we could have paid extra for a sea view which we will do next time. We also had a problem with the radiator in our room not heating up and the bathroom radiator didn't work at all. When we brought it to the hotel's attention, the gentleman who was working in the office went to one of their other hotels and returned with an oil-filled radiator for us to use in the room which definitely helped (it was cold weather when we stayed) but the heating in the rest of the hotel was on full pelt and it was lovely and warm everywhere else.
The room was fine and they supplied tea, coffee etc and a large kettle. The breakfast was excellend with lots of choice to suit everyone. The location on the seafront was fabuolus and it only took my son and I seven minutes to walk to the town centre along the front. The member of staff on duty in the office was very accommodating and professional.

United KingdomTHERE IS NO PARKING WITH THE HOTEL. This is advertised on Booking.com, and as this area of Morecambe is quite run-down, we booked the Hotel because we thought the car would be safer. This area of Morecambe does have issues with buildings crumbling, and one of the lower bay windows of the hotel is propped, requiring attention. But we did have an economical overnight stay, and we are grateful.
The staff are enthusiastic. The room was tidy and clean. It was pleasant to have a bay windowed room from which to look up and down the prom.

United KingdomDuring the night there was a loud noise that woke me up. It sounded like someone was drilling or like a generator whirring. Not sure if it was anything to do with the hotel itself - it may have been people in the property next door so I think this was just an unlucky one for me on that particular night and wouldn't affect anyone else.
I rarely give reviews as good as this one...excellent hotel. Sure, it's not the flashiest hotel I've ever been to, but it exceeded expectations and the staff were amazing. I came to the area for business and the guy at reception answered all my questions about the business and market of the local area. The gentleman who works in the restaurant was also very polite and welcoming. The beds were very comfy too and it was evident the room was thoroughly cleaned before my arrival.

United KingdomPlace seems to have bad luck recently with punters losing/forgetting/not having front door keys. On my second night someone kept banging at the front door at 11.30 pm and woke me up. Took some time for staff to arrive and open up. Hopefully this will get some solution in near future?
nice sea view from 'sea view' rooms, decent breakfast, 7.30 bit too early for eggs though (they too wee bit long to cook for the buffet breakfast table), watery 'juice', VERY clean room with a super tiny bathroom, v.close to off licence and similar.

Like the Phenix from the ashes, The Clifton is being brought back to life. The room was clean and comfortable, and considering they have only only recently reopened, surprisingly well furnished. The breakfast was excellent and well cooked, a choice of hot or cold, you cannot fault.
