Nice staff, NO ELEVATOR, steep stairs, extremely small shower, nice location close to train station.

    • Family Room - Non-Smoking
    • Stayed 1 night

No elevator and stairs are steep and narrow as the floors get higher. The room was a bit small and the shower is not suited for a large built person. I am 135 lbs, 5.5 feet and I had an extremely hard time fitting into the shower. If you are plus sized or even medium, I would reconsider staying here due to the uncomfortable situation in the bathroom. (the door wont be able to close when you eventually figure out how to fit yourself inside the shower)

The staff and location are both very good. However, with two young kids and suitcases ...the lack of an elevator was extremely hard. The higher the floor the more narrow the passageway. I stayed on the fourth floor and it was extremely tiring. If you are athletic and dont mind carrying your luggage up narrow long stairs, then this is the place for you. The breakfast was good with the basic things available.

The lift was out of order and I was on the top floor (5th) with steep stairs. The door right at the top of the stairs on the top floor wasn't easy to open with a heavy bag that I had to try to get up all 5 flights of stairs on my own with no offer of help. Apart from that, they stay was good.

Small room, very little space and small breakfast room. The lift was out of service so glad we’re weren’t any higher up than 3 levels.

Location good - close to underground and bus stop. Staff were friendly and helpful, the beds were clean and comfortable. A good variety for breakfast.

First off, if you are disabled there is no lift and the stairs are really really steep. Reception also would help carry my bags even though I had crutches A lot of the floors are wonky, I actually think we weren't flat when sleeping. Hotel is being decorated at the moment so a lot of "wet paint" signs everywhere. Room was small, it had the basics in but way to small, so was the bathroom, if you shut the door for a shower it was like a sauna / steam room. Breakfast is included but looked very basic so never had it.

Location was lovely, 2 mins from Queensway Tube and 5 from Lancaster Gate - Hyde Park a stones throw away. Room was clean, bathroom was clean. WIFI worked well.

The elevator was not functioning, the stairwells are quite narrow and they were painting the walls near the railings. Not one staff member asked to help people with bags. I was on the 4th floor and had to take the climb up and down each time. Some advance notice of this so that informed decisions about our stay could have been made would have been appreciated.

The location was great- very close to small shops, Kensington Gardens, hop on hop off buses, some restaurants.

The bathroom / toilet was a little snug, but clean and had everything youd need. The breakfast included was basic but nice enough, however, the breakfast room itself was small and meant finding a table was tricky - far more guests than seats/tables, I would say!!!

Perfect location for Hyde Park concert, easy to find 20 minute walk from Paddington Station. Friendly helpful reception staff, clean and tidy room. Managed to get checked in earlier than expected so didn't have to leave luggage!

The room was very small and more suitable for one person as opposed to two. Lift not in use. Our room was on the 3rd floor and I need to use a walking stick on occasion!!

The room was clean, the bed comfortable and nicely furnished. The breakfast room was pleasant with a good selection of food.

Painfully small room. We had to move the only chair to the bathroom to be able to reach the bed. There was not enough room for 2 midsized unopened luggage.

Location, Hyde park , restaurants , shopping , metro, bus, hop on hop off only a few minutes away. Notting Hill and Poretobello road 10 minutes walk from the hotel.. OK breakfast. Good size bathroom.

The corridor leading to my bedroom was old and threadbare and there was a hoover in the corner and an ironing board a little bit further up. They told me the lift was broken, but the sign on the notice board had been printed and lamintated, which made me think it wasn't something new.

The room was comfy which is why I ended up not caring as much about the outside of the room. It was quiet, with only the faint hum of the underground in the background, but the bed was super comfy and there was coffee and tea for the morning.

No elevator while staying on the 4th floor is scandalous. While clean, everything was old , windows barely closing and AC giving its last breath. Breakfast was really basic. Quite expensive but looking around, in likes with the london standard of hotels. It was ok in the end but wouldn’t come back

got there to be told that we were on the 6th floor and the lift wasnt working. by looks of it the lift had been condemned as it was completely boarded up. thankfully we didnt have suitcases to carry up. ironing board and hoover lying in narrrow corridor, had to climb over them as nowhere to move them to.

location was great, Queensway and Bayswater tubes 5 min walk, opposite Kensington gardens. staff seemed nice from all we seen them
