Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Trinidad and TobagoNo elevator and stairs are steep and narrow as the floors get higher. The room was a bit small and the shower is not suited for a large built person. I am 135 lbs, 5.5 feet and I had an extremely hard time fitting into the shower. If you are plus sized or even medium, I would reconsider staying here due to the uncomfortable situation in the bathroom. (the door wont be able to close when you eventually figure out how to fit yourself inside the shower)
The staff and location are both very good. However, with two young kids and suitcases ...the lack of an elevator was extremely hard. The higher the floor the more narrow the passageway. I stayed on the fourth floor and it was extremely tiring. If you are athletic and dont mind carrying your luggage up narrow long stairs, then this is the place for you. The breakfast was good with the basic things available.

United KingdomThe lift was out of order and I was on the top floor (5th) with steep stairs. The door right at the top of the stairs on the top floor wasn't easy to open with a heavy bag that I had to try to get up all 5 flights of stairs on my own with no offer of help. Apart from that, they stay was good.

United KingdomSmall room, very little space and small breakfast room. The lift was out of service so glad we’re weren’t any higher up than 3 levels.
Location good - close to underground and bus stop. Staff were friendly and helpful, the beds were clean and comfortable. A good variety for breakfast.

United KingdomFirst off, if you are disabled there is no lift and the stairs are really really steep. Reception also would help carry my bags even though I had crutches A lot of the floors are wonky, I actually think we weren't flat when sleeping. Hotel is being decorated at the moment so a lot of "wet paint" signs everywhere. Room was small, it had the basics in but way to small, so was the bathroom, if you shut the door for a shower it was like a sauna / steam room. Breakfast is included but looked very basic so never had it.
Location was lovely, 2 mins from Queensway Tube and 5 from Lancaster Gate - Hyde Park a stones throw away. Room was clean, bathroom was clean. WIFI worked well.

CanadaThe elevator was not functioning, the stairwells are quite narrow and they were painting the walls near the railings. Not one staff member asked to help people with bags. I was on the 4th floor and had to take the climb up and down each time. Some advance notice of this so that informed decisions about our stay could have been made would have been appreciated.
The location was great- very close to small shops, Kensington Gardens, hop on hop off buses, some restaurants.

United KingdomThe bathroom / toilet was a little snug, but clean and had everything youd need. The breakfast included was basic but nice enough, however, the breakfast room itself was small and meant finding a table was tricky - far more guests than seats/tables, I would say!!!
Perfect location for Hyde Park concert, easy to find 20 minute walk from Paddington Station. Friendly helpful reception staff, clean and tidy room. Managed to get checked in earlier than expected so didn't have to leave luggage!

CyprusThe corridor leading to my bedroom was old and threadbare and there was a hoover in the corner and an ironing board a little bit further up. They told me the lift was broken, but the sign on the notice board had been printed and lamintated, which made me think it wasn't something new.
The room was comfy which is why I ended up not caring as much about the outside of the room. It was quiet, with only the faint hum of the underground in the background, but the bed was super comfy and there was coffee and tea for the morning.

Quite expensive but looking around, in likes with the london standard of hotels. It was ok in the end but wouldn’t come back
