United KingdomI had no wifi in my room after day 1 (someone had nicked the box from the landing). So I had to do my work by tethering off my mobile phone. The view wasn't great but that's ok. I just think they could do more with the cleanliness of the place. There was dust on the kettle, the cups didn't look very clean and one of my towels had a stain on. If they just gave the place a DEEP CLEAN and then kept up standards - this place would be alright to stay at and the review number would increase - guaranteed. The door at the end of the corridor could do with putting on a catch so that it doesn't loudly bang shut.
I liked the price, the fact that the room had an ensuite, it was very warm. The staff tried their best. Lots of food shops nearby.

United KingdomNo TV in room and it says in description of room that there was TV’s in all rooms, one coffee cup and one towel (booked for 2 adults) when I asked about a TV the person on reception said they would put one I the room ready for when I came back in, that never happened and there wasn’t any Wi-Fi again something that was in the description for the hotel

United KingdomNo lift - I had a toddler with me and had to carry my bags up and down the stairs while carrying my toddler as well. The car park is at the back of the building so you have to walk all the way around with the bags. The room was clean but needed updating and some maintenance - the top of the tap came off, only one wall light worked. The walls were very thin so any noise in the hallway came right through to the room.
It was easy to find and close to where I needed to be for a good price. The staff were very friendly. The bed was nice and firm. There’s a small supermarket right over the road so it was easy to pick up supplies.

United KingdomThe parking was not dedicated to hotel it was public. WiFi did not work in the rooms. The toilet was crusted with brown timescale. The drained smelled awful. Cobwebs across window. Empty beer can o on top of wardrobe (?) No teabags just coffee.

United KingdomI spent 2 nights in 3 different rooms at this place, because electricity kept on going off. The same day I arrived the lights in my room were not working, they gave me another room, the following night electrify went off again till morning, my phone even died, then the next morning I got moved into another room. The Tv does not show any channels, the coffee spoons were not cleaned properly, I only had one half toilet paper , had to go downstairs to look for a full one and whenever they moved me rooms I had to go get that toilet paper move with it. The place is nice, Coop, Domino’s, a Chinese take away next to it but very far from nice restaurants, or clubs etc.
The stuff we’re sociable and friendly.

United KingdomThe room smelt of cigarette smoke which I eventually traced to the curtains, these need to be replaced or washed a couple of times at least. The towels rolled up on the bed were damp, the bathroom desperately needs some TLC, the soap dispensers for both the washbasin and the shower require refixing to the walls, the toilet seat is too small for the bowl and the toilet roll holder also needs fixing to the wall. The mixer control for the shower needs servicing or replacing as it alternatively switches from hot to cold giving no more than approximately seven seconds of each before switching over.
The staff were friendly enough, the bed was quite firm which is how I like them, the location was ideal for my visiting of friends. Breakfast was was good and cooked to order so that it was hot when it arrived.

United Kingdomthe mattress was shocking, my room was on the back of the property which over looked a busy load pub and car park. fire alarm went off 4 times at 2:30am - 3 am. no body got out of bed. place needs money spending on it for sure.

United KingdomEven though I had had correspondence with booking.com no information re our stay, nor actual details of our stay were passed onto the hotel. Thankfully the hotel was able to accomodate us but in substandard room.
Extremely friendly welcome. The new owners have only had the property 3 weeks and it looks like it was extremely run down beforehand. They are working to make improvements slowly so were not booking rooms which needed major improvements. Therefore they were not expecting us, Booking.com had booked out more rooms than they wanted so we ended up in a room they hadn't updated. However they did their best to accommodate us. Beds, bedding, towels etc were clean and comfortable. Food on offer is limited at the moment whilst they improve the restaurant, (no breakfast on offer), but they were happy to help cook us by cooking us food, even though they were not expecting us. The only other option in the village is India or takeaway but theres a nice complex only 10 mins drive away in the next town with lots of food options. Hopefully the combination of the friendly welcome with some upgrades could make this a very nice hotel.

United KingdomDirty room, noisy inconsiderate guests walking through corridors until the early hours banging doors and talking loudly, noisy function room with last orders at 02:00 which attracted the noisy inconsiderate guests, thin walls, next to no sleep. I shan’t be staying again any time soon, sorry. Should be advertised as a hostel / function venue, NOT a hotel. Staff were the best part, polite and helpful.

United KingdomNoisy, other guests banging the communal toilet door in the early hours. Even more noise when a still drunk and problematic group had a huge domestic and the police had to be called. Twice banging on the door to see if I was involved - why not check the register, it was all one group of Northern lads and lasses involved, and the form I filled in on arrival clearly states my address. All I wanted was a simple inexpensive nights sleep - no chance. No management to be found at 9.30am, just drop your key through the slot and away you go. Mid priced, but with minimal charm
