Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomWe had room 502. There must be a problem with that room in that all the hot water pipes for the whole hotel must go through it. It was unbearably hot. In mid February we had the heating off and all the windows open and the ceiling fan on full, and it was still like a sauna. In the bathroom the cold water tap ran red hot for ten minutes before it was possible to clean one’s teeth. What a shame because otherwise it was a lovely room!!!

United KingdomThe hotel room we had was tired, missing bulbs in ceiling lights, cob webs rusty shower rail. After heavy rain windows leaked so badly we had to change rooms. The staff member who attended the room was very good although he had to forcibly argue for a change of room. Jacuzzi was broken on first night but repaired for second. Spa pool area could do with a clean up

United KingdomCar park awkward for guests with mobility issues, spa facilities a little bit dungeon like. We had room on fifth floor and the wind howled all night, not the hotel's fault but maybe lower rooms are more sheltered.

United KingdomThe evening meal menu was not as large as I expected. The food was very nice but the temperature in the dining room was rather low.
The breakfast was adequate but I expected a bit more on the plate for a 'Full English' and I thought the price was a bit steep. The room was good but it would have helped to have had dome explanation as to how to switch off the light under the fan. We found the remote control on the second day. Didn't use the spa.
