Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomBeing a pro bodybuilder and a keen golf enthusiast . My thirteen year old daughter Who has been training since she was six as a gymnast. We went down to the underground swimming pool . And gym facilities to the honest with you. And the free boys or young man . Came across very stand offish . Difficult. Rude obstinate, i'm completely uninterested in trying to help. My daughter is a competition that she's prepping for a very high national level. I've never heard of anything so absurd in all my life that she wasn't allowed to use even the stretching room. With the mats, o I can help her prap for her coming up important national competition. Sorry, what absolute tosh !!!!!!!! children now from the age of thirteen, fourteen fifteenth sixteen are encouraged to weight resistance training All they said to me was company policy. She's not allowed. To train . Despite training for many years in norwich spouse and maevery gymnasium I go to. As long as she's accompanied by a parent, is more than legally adequate. What absolute rubbish. They could have spoken to management and gone higher. But unfortunately, my daughter missed out on a weekend.Welcome training . So not only did the boys or macting a very Richard hostile rude. You're annoying manner. They weren't my daughter's weekend. And she missed out on training because of a silly pathetic rule. Now, this might sound a bit petty. But to the athlete that is about to get into the england team is very, very important In the Olympics girls compete.Boys can be at an extremely young age . Which is a complete and other fact . Whoever reads this, but I want to speak to management

United KingdomWhen I ordered drinks at the bar and food in the restaurant I was told I was not on their system despite Reception having told me that I was; this was very embarrassing.
The venue itself was in beautiful grounds, rooms were good and breakfast was very good.

United KingdomI didn’t have any shower gel or shampoo in my bathroom as the wall bottle had been removed (presumably to be refilled) and not replaced. My towels and bath mat were taken (unnecessarily) and not replaced. On the third night someone was smoking in a room near mine as the whole corridor outside was filled with cigarette smoke. When I reported it to the lady on reception that evening she didn’t apologise and seemed uninterested in doing anything. The same lady was less than helpful in finding me some shower gel or shampoo! The other reception staff were all very good, friendly and efficient. The gym was very hot and could do with the air conditioning being on and the service in the bar could be quicker. These niggles aside I had a comfortable stay.
The gym was very well equipped and the bar and conservatory were very comfortable to work in with colleagues. The food in the bar was excellent! Great central location for work.

United KingdomWanted the hotel to provide a balloon for my husband birthday (which I would have paid for) but was told had to provide my own. As we were coming from Sheffield it just was not possible. So a little cooperation from the hotel would have been appreciated. Also I pre ordered a bucket of beers for the room, for my husband birthday on arrival and there was none , I had to ask reception for the bucket
Room was lovely . Breakfast was excellent, good quality and nicely cooked. Had a lovely walk round the grounds and the spa was great

United KingdomUnfortunately my partner was unable to attend, and I had already used my one change of dates, so it worked out quite expensive for one person for 2 nights bed and breakfast.
The location is good and a 5 min drive to nearest park and ride. The room was clean and comfortable. The Spa facilities were good. The staff were excellent. The breakfast was very good with a large selection to choose from.

United KingdomThe quiet room was in the 'family' zone, so resulting in a fair amount of noise and movement into the evening. The rooms and bathroom are starting to show their age and now in need of some refurbishment. Breakfast experience too rushed and busy due to the number of children enjoying their half-term break. In future we must avoid school holiday periods, despite not having experienced this level of noisiness previously.
Location excellent for our needs. Beds relatively comfortable. Leisure facilities ie the gym & pool are good.

United KingdomAs the hotel is family friendly it was a little too noisy to relax around the pool. If I was booking specifically for a spa break I wouldn’t come back for this reason. There were also children in the sauna and steam rooms which is against the rules but no staff in the pool area to monitor this. Food was nice in restaurant but a little too expensive.
Hotel was beautiful and rooms were comfortable. Good location. Swimming pool was nice and temperature was warm enough to sit on subbed even when wet. Bar area was comfortable.
