Was sent to the wrong block at first, but the receptionist was new, we all have to start somewhere. The bar area was ok. Food was overpriced. Was told to sit at a table and someone would come to get our order, had to order from the bar.

The place was amazing room was excellent could not fault the stay. The leisure facilities was next to none.

As the hotel is family friendly it was a little too noisy to relax around the pool. If I was booking specifically for a spa break I wouldn’t come back for this reason. There were also children in the sauna and steam rooms which is against the rules but no staff in the pool area to monitor this. Food was nice in restaurant but a little too expensive.

Hotel was beautiful and rooms were comfortable. Good location. Swimming pool was nice and temperature was warm enough to sit on subbed even when wet. Bar area was comfortable.

The room decor was a bit tired. There weren’t many walks that did not encroach on the golf course. The room arrangement is not advertised- we would like to choose a specific room.

The food was lovely and the spa first class.

The bed was so uncomfortable, even the first room which had a mattress topper you could feel the springs. The second room didn't and you could feel every spring. Also the pillows are just horrible. One of the worst night sleeps I've had from a hotel

The staff are friendly and very helpful. Our first room smelt of fag smoke but because the cleaners went home we got upgraded. Nice pool and facilities, great food from the bar menu. I didn't have anything from the main restaurant menu and the breakfast buffet was good.

The only thing that we didn’t like was the hotel being very very warm. I noticed the radiators all on full blast but we did have a window in our room for some fresh air.

Beautiful property, very clean. I was very impressed with breakfast. I find buffet breakfast can often fall short, but breakfast was fantastic. Staff very friendly especially Kristie at breakfast who took the time to speak to us and my baby. Very close to Norwich and broads.

Room might not have been used for a while as it could have done with being aired. Hotel is actually huge and weirdly the lift signs don't match the floor numbers so everyone keeps getting lost!

Great location close to pretty Norwich. Lots to do. Beautiful main building, lovely bar area where we ate an early evening meal, super breakfast, good sized room, no noise despite large wedding in another area, nice view over the golf course. Great gym and pool, plus lovely spa. Staff were helpful. EV chargers available. Definitely recommend.

A hotel with character, warmth and great staff

This is a large sprawling hotel across many floors, corridors and heavy doors (fire doors for good reason!). The signposting could be a little better. Several of our guests experienced rooms which were very warm and the Air Conditioning was not up to spec to make the climate comfortable. A number of the rooms our group had wonky toilet seats! Maybe a little maintenance would be in order. But in reality, this is a four star hotel (as advertised), not a five star so no great dramas and if anything the approach taken by all staff counters any thoughts of negativity as your leave the hotel after your stay!

The staff are the greatest asset with everyone that we encountered during our stay going the extra mile to make our group comfortable and welcome. Evening dinner (and our waitress who was on her first evening shift) was really good. Breakfast was really enjoyable and had something for everyone. The spa area is a great bonus and Parking was plentiful and free.

We ordered a burger for our 13 year old son and we had to check it was not a childs serving as it was tiny. Just a small portion of chips and a pot of coleslaw on the side, but the patty itself was small and only had a bit of lettuce and tomato. Not what you expect for 16 plus pounds. It went down in seconds and he ended up eating half half my pizza as well! Pizza was nice though. Room was great but we had no AC and although we had window open it was still very warm. maybe it was because there was 4 of us and the dog.

Beautiful building and lcoation - It was a great experience waking up and not hearing traffic or outside noise - apart from birds singing and wind in the trees! Lovely breakfast and amazing staff.

We didn’t like , that they let dogs in the breakfast restaurant in the morning and there selfish owners letting walk about on there extension leads. Also feeding them from the table. We would not go there again for that reason. The staff aloud them in and escorted them to the table. Disgusting

Only minor gripe was that we could not watch the football as Bunkers bar was closing at 9pm, but this may well be its normal closing.

We opted to return for a night having previously visited in February 24. We had another great stay and enjoyed the grounds, the room, the pool, and breakfast as much as our previous visit.

Some features of the room were dated or in need of attention such as a toilet roll holder that wasn't properly secured to the wall, limescale around the bathroom tap and mould around the plug in the sink. Hotel staff were happy to come in to address these issues but, ideally, we'd have preferred they were addressed before our stay. Also, while we enjoyed being able to use the pool and hot tub during our stay, they were both a bit cooler than we'd expected.

Breakfast served in lovely dining room with view of the grounds. Good selection of breakfast items. Room was spacious, comfortable and clean. Front desk staff were efficient and very friendly. Even our dog was made to feel welcome! The grounds of the hotel are lovely and we appreciated being able to explore them with our dog.
