The room was lovely and such a comfy bed. The building itself very beautiful. The spa was spacious and the grounds were pretty.

The bar didn't have one drink I wanted I asked for 4 different ones that they didn't seem to have and the decor in the bathroom on way to restaurant really let the place down I was so disappointed when I walked into the bathroom

The rooms and spa/swimming pool were great the building itself is beautiful and the grounds are scenic

Being woken up by a baby screaming at 7am . Possible family only floors would possibly be an idea . Waiting to be served by the unattentive bar staff. Other than Tim - who was very attentive and carried out his job bery very well. We understood it was a busy weekend - but an acknowledge from the staff to let us know they knew we was there would be nice.

The complementary drinks was a nice gesture. The shower was very nice .

The food is dreadful. One meal took 1 1/2 hours to arrive and was not what you would expect for the price or quality of the hotel. We had one of the most expensive rooms in the hotel but given probably the worst table for breakfast on both days.

Had to wait a long time for a dinner table (for 1) despite there being plenty of empty tables. restaurant expensive and like a canteen as so busy. food very nice but the ambiance and environment made it feel like a school dinner hall!

    Decent gym facilities.

Very nice welcome from the receptionist! The place is absolutely beautiful my jaw dropped when I parked up I couldn’t believe it! This is a stunning place. The breakfast was lovely and seating was spaced out.

Our bedroom was cold, though when reported to reception they did inform us that the heating was not on in our block but offered a heater or thinker duvet. Whilst the food in the bar lounge was delicious, the staff were struggling. We didn’t get our whole order & getting a refund could only be done at reception. This wouldn’t deter us from visiting again.

Location was beautiful, quiet & perfectly located for exploring Norwich or north Norfolk. The swimming pool was warm with relaxing lighting. There was a wide selection of breakfast items to choose from. Cooked breakfast was delicious.

Waiting time on food. There was a mix up in the kitchen. Waited an hour for two pizzas and nachos. But staff was very kind and sorted the matter.

Room walls are quite thin- woken up several times from dogs barking throughout the night. Food service is EXTREMELY slow- waited over 2 hours for a meal alongside many other people with a lot people walking out in the end. Was dealt with appropriately and professionally but wouldn’t recommend eating there. Maybe the spa facilities could be adult only during certain hours?

Location is gorgeous, isolated surrounded by the golf course. Room was spacious and clean. Treatment received at the lilac room was excellent.

Very run down ( health space and the doors being one) Table tops in rooms dirty, curtains had stains. Food in evening seemed rushed and burnt tasting. Didn't taste fresh at all. Looked like it needed a good pressure washing all over the grounds.

Breakfast was lovely, the chocolates for my birthday was very kind and nice.

The carpet in the room was stained, old, and smelled of sweaty feet. The room and the hotel was tired looking. Desperately needs renovating. The artwork in the public areas was mismatched. In the corridor where there were cabinets advertising weddings at the venue, they were dirty, light bulbs out. Very poor. The bar offered limited drinks. We asked for 5 different drinks and they didn't have them. Said they hadn't received their order on both nights. Music in the bar and breakfast room was unsuitable and too loud. The pool was full of families as it is open to external members. Not relaxing at all. Staff in the pool area were rude. Limited treatments available at the weekend, which was a shame and expensive. I've stayed at the hotel quite a few years ago. It's such a shame to see it so tired looking.

The size of the room was good. The breakfast was good. The external building and grounds are beautiful.

I left my laptop in my room, my fault entirely. Although I checked out I was at hotel until 4pm. I didn't discover I hadn't got it until I got home at 7pm. No one rang me. You can't actually ring and speak to anyone at the hotel. We were there for a funeral and fortunately one of the funeral party stayed an extra night and went to reception and they had it. They were gratefully. able to collect it. WHY did no one call. Very poor customer service spoils a good 1 night stay.

Rooms, clean tidy. Good facilities although didn't get the chance to try.

The rooms are dated. Our room had no fridge (although there was a cupboard for one), wasn’t spotless, there was no safe for any valuables and just wasn’t at the standard that fits the rest of the hotel which is such a shame as the grounds and public areas are so lovely. We didn’t even have simple things like glasses to use for water and the bathrooms had mould and limescale round the tap areas. We asked the housekeeper for some extra coffee sachets as we only were left 3 on arrival (we were there two nights and said it wasn’t necessary to have it cleaned on the middle day) and that seemed troublesome and he said along lines of well we’re a bit restricted and counted them out before giving us a few. We called reception and asked to be moved - we had champagne for our 15th anniversary (the reason for our stay) and wanted it cold and also had valuables I’d want to be put in a safe and was told it was fully booked - we could put our champagne and valuables behind reception which is not a solution. The room part of the stay felt disappointing. Given the price and the grandeur of the hotel may be I expected too much. We were with friends on this trip and they had been “upgraded” which meant air conditioning and they said their room was on a familiar feel to ours.

The grounds, public areas and pool area are all really lovely. The hotel is very grand and the bar and patio are really lovely and make you feel like you’re in a special location. Breakfast is really lovely. We made use of the spa area which as it is included in your stay is really lovely just to relax in.
