Beautiful lodging. Very thoughtful amenities in the room which was gorgeous! Our hosts Jimmy and Fiona were very kind, attentive and helped us with information to get around. It was peaceful and friendly. What was remarkable was our hosts were "invisible but not invisible". They appeared just when we needed something, room was attended to when we returned. We had traveled far from our home in Hawaii USA and by far was most enjoyable

It is on a rather busy road. The house is set off from the road but the road can be busy. Traffic calms considerably at night.

One of the most beautifully appointed B & B’s I’ve stayed in. Gorgeous common lounge. Beautiful breakfast room. Super welcoming owners. Happily accommodated my touring bicycle. Room was small but, again, beautifully appointed. Spotlessly clean, super comfortable. A very very nice stay.

I visited for work and had a great stay. Breakfast was excellent, room was clean and location was not too far from city centre. The owners were very friendly and helpful - they even made me breakfast early one morning when I had to be somewhere.

Beautiful house in a great location for exploring Edinburgh. Exceptionally clean and welcoming. We had the best night’s sleep and thoroughly enjoyed the varied and plentiful breakfasts.

Honestly have nothing to complain about. It's a little pricey for me normally and a fair walk to the city centre but honestly good value for money and there are benefits to being outside of the hussel and bustle. Pre-book local places for meals to avoid disappointment too.

The hospitality, cleanliness, facilities and breakfast was superb. I cannot fault this place.

Absolutely beautiful place to stay,the rooms are decorated to a very high standard and like the rest of the house spotless. Fiona and Jimmy are the perfect hosts, cannot do enough for you and are very knowledgable about everything that can help your stay in Edinburgh better. The breakfast was 5 stars and we were sad to leave but excited to know that we will be returning. Highly recommend,you will not be disappointed.

Perfect location for our trip to the Festival Theatre. Just a short ride away with parking, it doesn’t get any better. Immaculate rooms with everything you need, a friendly welcome and a delicious breakfast, freshly prepared and served to our table made this our new No. 1 for future theatre trips to Edinburgh. Looking forward to our next visit already!

One of the best places we've ever stayed in. Fiona and Jimmy were very welcoming and took good care of us. Delicious breakfast and drinks. The room was very spacious and clean throughout with a nice modern bathroom and beautiful garden where we spent every evening. Easy recommendation from us. We will definitely come back.

Our stay at Glenalmond house was a delight. It was very comfortable, Fiona and Jimmy were great hosts and they made us feel really welcome. The house is only a few yards from a main road, but that didn’t intrude. However, it did mean it was really convenient for catching buses into the city centre.
