No heating in the bathroom. 'Central heating problem' seems a common complaint. Problem doesn't seem to be in any rush to be sorted. Car parking on grass verge not on hardcore. Breakfast is OK but limited inasmuch as pork (bacon, sausage etc) inot on the menu. Breakfast also served too late for my liking. 7-30am normal start time - which I said was troo late. Mutually agreed breakfast started at 7-15am.

    Location good. Room good size.

There was only one member of staff on all the time we were there he was very good at his job but was hard to understand him the breakfast was ok but because of their religion there was no bacon and the sausage was chicken, the room was not cleaned during our stay and the bins were full the hot water machine for hot drinks was not a kettle and it ran out of water because we had not been told it needed filling when the member of staff came to look at it I don’t think he knew how it worked so fetched a kettle

The room was spacious and comfortable

The theme of the rooms was interesting but wasn’t sure on some touches, such as the mannequin, I found it too much. These are little things however.

Great location for Birmingham airport. Close to Marston Green station by car. Staff were friendly and helpful. Comfortable bed and spacious room. Good facilities

The receptionist was very helpful as he’d upgraded us to a king size delux room and came up to look at the kettle which I thought was broken but just needed the power to the sockets turning on

I chose the Arden House initially for the location, a short easy drive from the NEC, and it was a good choice. I enjoyed the cosy Shakespeare themed decor and the room had everything thing I needed - hairdryer, proper sized kettle and mugs, glass bottle filled with water, shower gel etc. Plenty of information about where to eat in the room guide.

The breakfast issue was annoying and the TV was like a postage stamp. Other than that the room was perfectly adequate

Breakfast was great, but I was informed that bacon was not on the menu. The lady who provided the breakfast was friendly and efficient. The room itself was really comfortable and the bathroom on suite was sparkling. The facility was within walking distance of a lovely village and the surrounding are was great.

The curtains could definitely do with a clean as could the dusty fake flowers around the place.

It was comfortable, friendly and the rooms were nice. Breakfast was sufficient but the website didn’t state they didn’t serve pork meat so no bacon. It’s fine but I think it should be stated. It’s a nice quiet area and very convenient for the NEC.

It was a little out of the way, a little impersonal at times (nobody there), and the breakfast was a little sparse, when we could get it (but nothing on weekends when we had to leave early). And perhaps a little pricey for what it was. But just a little overall.

The place was fine, with a kind welcome and reasonably comfortable, as well as happily booking taxis for us.

Need a step ladder to reach bathroom basin, bathroom and bedroom need a deep clean. Hot water in basin is a very slow trickle, room must be a long way from the boiler as radiators were cool to touch. Bed was double not the king advertised and only one bathrobe, no conditioner or iron as advertised. Everything looked tired and in need of investment, looks like it was converted and maintained DIY. I know small business are under pressure with rising costs but so are guests who would like to get what was advertised and paid for.

Good location for airport with free off road overnight parking. Friendly staff. Pub 20 mins walk away. Comfortable bed. Reasonable breakfast.

Plugs not working in bedroom first night therefore unable to use TV or kettle. This however sorted for second night. Fridge very dirty. Room a bit grubby. Chipped plates. Fruit at breakfast didn’t look very fresh. Couple of apples and a few tired blueberries.

Good cooked breakfast. Pleasant staff. Good location for NEC. Spacious room.
