Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Hong KongThe room is extremely small, we cannot open two suitcases at the same time. The bathtub is very high, it may be a bit difficult for children and elderly to climb into it.
The location is very convenient, just a few minutes away from tube stations. Many restaurants and convenience stores around.

United KingdomI've been staying in this hotel many times over the last 5 -6 years. I had a last minute booking few weeks ago and stayed in the lower ground room which I strongly recommend to avoid. You can hear every train on the tube and what was much worse very strong constant noise from some services in the hotel. This week I stayed in a nice room on the first floor and it was fine although I was surprised that I still could hear trains. Apart from this very convenient hotel in great location for both train and car commuters.

SwedenWardrobe a bit small and we could have used some more areas for clothes. The bathroom was clean end fresh, but since there is marmour in the shower it could be slippery and a shower mat would be good.
Even if the location is quiet, Queensway is 3 minutes walk away with two subwaylines, buses to central London and restaurants. The room was well furnished and had refridgerator, pentry and possibility to make tea and coffee. Lovely bed.

We enjoyed the option of having breakfast at the hotel very much. The location of the hotel was great for shopping and restaurants and also just a short walk to the Subway or Tube as they say in London. A gentleman who worked at reception whose name is Munir was very kind and very helpful with our requests and questions and that was very much appreciated.

AustraliaThe bed head was very noisy, it rattled constantly throughout the night every time one of us moved. The room was near the kitchen/dining area and was quite noisy early in the morning. It was also opposite the toilets, and we could hear people walking past and talking loudly late at night.
Great location, close to shops, restaurants, and railway stations. Very close to the beautiful Kensington Gardens and some great museums just over the other side of the park. Room was clean and comfortable. London was quite hot while we were there and the air-conditioning in the room was excellent.
