How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The room was a bit snug for a King Room, and the bathroom a bit cramped
The bed was extremely comfortable and room was very clean. The breakfast and dinner was delicious. I could not fault the food at all. The staff were great. Very pleasant, efficient and helpful, especially Scott.

My room was next to the lift, every time someone arrived in my floor I heard the “ding” of the lift, all through the night. Really tatty outside.
Looks better inside than it does outside. Breakfast was good, and included.

The room was VERY tired. Curtain rail was hanging off the window, so curtains didn't close properly. Silicone round sink, bath etc needing redone, very shabby looking. Bath mat unclean. Rooms need re painted, woodwork shabby and dirty looking.
Comfortable bed, food was decent, staff very good.

The rooms were clean and comfortable but were a bit dated. Could be doing with a makeover.

It would have been perfect if the rooms have been tidied up everyday (not done at all for 3 days in a row, not even the beds whereas the little tag was on the door). We don't ask a lot, but for the price you expect your bed to be done at the end of the day...
- Big parking for drop off, - nice view on the pond if you are lucky, - beds are big and very confortable - good breakfast - good location, close to our family living on Glasgow

Shower head did not work really well. Had a weird combo with the faucet on the tub. Spent 10 minutes trying to figure out how to turn it off and couldn’t get it the right temp!

Key card lock took multiple attempts to enter room due to malfunction Breakfast had a limited options for breakfast and fried eggs were like rubber could not Pearce with fork or cut with knife also fried tattie were absolutely covered with some kind of herbal hard thin sticks which were about a centimetre long Suggestions for breakfast as being in scotland the addition of haggis, tattie scone,black pudding or lorne sausage as being within walking distance of nuffield hospital would be attractive to scottish people here for appointments or football

Room was clean but bathroom had lots of hair on the floor and shower. Room was tired with lampshades that need replacing and a lick of paint required. Kettle was lethal in that steam escaped in two places with potential to scald. Heating worked but even with it off the room was too warm at night. Didn't eat at the restaurant but there is a M&S Simply food next door at garage so great choice for food. Looked at future prices and unlikely to stay for what was quoted.
Best thing about this hotel is it's location. Right on the Great Western road and easy access to the West End on foot or by car and onto M8. Room was comfortable and staff were all friendly. Hotel is also next door to Bingham Pond which is a nice area for a short walk and plenty of ducks & swans to feed if that's your thing. Booked months in advance so got a reasonable room rate.
